MOLLOY/CAP 21, Long Island/NYC

 Students enrolled in the program will move together through their courses both
on Molloy's Rockville Centre campus, located 40 minutes outside of New York
City, and at Molloy/CAP21's newly-renovated, state-of-the-art Manhattan Center
located at 50 Broadway.
 As they pursue the B.F.A. degree, Molloy students will experience both Molloy
College campus life and the New York City professional theatre surroundings at
CAP21. During their first year, freshmen will spend three days a week taking a
variety of academic and studio classes at Molloy. The other two days of the week
will be spent taking classes at the Molloy/CAP21 Manhattan Center.
 For sophomore, junior and senior years, B.F.A. students will take two days of
classes at Molloy and three days of classes at the Molloy/CAP21 Manhattan
Center.
 Throughout their eight semesters in the B.F.A. program, students will take a wide
range of performing arts classes that will include: Acting, Voice (both ensemble
and individual), Jazz and Ballet.
 The Molloy College/CAP21 BFA Program boasts of offering a weekly private
voice lesson to each student for all four years of study.
 Class size is usually about 30-32 and they are divided into 2 cohorts for classes
(although the past year it was bigger).

 Known as the “pop/rock” school
 There are two main stage musicals each year and one black box musical that all
students (freshmen through seniors) are required to audition for. There are also
three black box plays and one main stage play that musical theatre majors are
required to audition for. Shenandoah Conservatory produces more than 400
performances each year.

 Faculty mentor students artistically and academically on an individual basis.
Undergraduate students also have the opportunity to collaborate with MFA
students in the Musical Theater Collaboration graduate program.
 After graduation, Musical Theater BFA alumni have appeared in productions on
Broadway, on national tours, and at major theaters in and around Philadelphia
including the Arden Theater Company, Paper Mill Playhouse and Walnut Street
Theatre.

 The Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre, presents three major musical theatre
works on campus each summer. Students work with guest artists, professional
directors and designers, and full orchestra in lavish professional productions.
 The Guest Artist program offers students in both theatre and dance the
opportunity to work and study with world-class artists-in-residence. The
Department engages numerous guest artists each year as teachers, actors,
directors, composers, choreographers, and designers.
