Clauses Types
Purpose: To join two or more main clauses with a coordinating conjunction (and, but, or, etc.).
Structure: Main Clause + Coordinating Conjunction + Main Clause.
Example:
o I went to the park, and she stayed at home.
o He wanted to go, but it was raining.
o The girl who won the race is my friend. (who That: Refers to people, animals, or things
= subject) (only in restrictive clauses).
o The man whom I met is kind. (whom =
object) o The car that she drives is new.

Adverbial Clauses
An adverbial clause modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb, just like an adverb does. It provides
