entrance assessment conducted for admission to various
engineering colleges in India. It is constituted by two different
examinations: the JEE Main and the JEE Advanced.

MARKS TO
QUALIFY
What is Percentile ?
• The Percentile score will be the Normalized Score for
the examination(instead of the raw marks of the
candidate) and shall be used for preparation of the merit
lists. The Percentile Scores will be calculated up to 7
decimal places to avoid bunching effect and reduce ties.
The Percentile score of a Candidate is calculated as
follows:
(100 X Number of candidates appeared in the Session
with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate) /
Total number of the candidates appeared in the Session)
Approximate Marks to Percentile Based on the
Previous Trends

How to Qualify for jee advanced
(for admission in IIT)
• The JEE Advanced admit cards will be released by the
exam conducting authority. Admissions to the IITs will be
through the counselling conducted by the Joint Seat
Allocation Authority (JoSAA) based on ranks obtained by
candidates in JEE Advanced.
• Candidates who clear the JEE Main will able to apply
for JEE Advanced for admission to the IITs (Indian
Institutes of Technology) in India. It must be noted that
only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers will only be
eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced. However, the total
number of candidates may be a bit higher than 2.5
because of 'tied' ranks/scores in each category.
How to Get into NIT/IIIT/GFTI
• For JEE Main qualified candidates, a
common counselling process is conducted
by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
During the online counselling process, the
candidates will be able to register and
select their choice of colleges and courses
from the list of NITs
