Self Introduction

Good morning Sir / Madam,


I am Karthik Raj, currently in my third year of pursuing a Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science at the Chennai Institute of Technology. Since the end of my
first year, I've been captivated by the world of web development. I started
exploring how these webistes work and how to build them
My journey began with the foundational elements of web development: HTML,
CSS, and JavaScript. Eager to delve deeper, I enrolled in an online course on
Udemy called the "Web Developer Bootcamp," which served as my launchpad
into the world of full-stack application development. Building upon this, I
completed two courses on Coursera: one focusing on Frontend applications and
the other on Advanced Styling with Responsive Design.
Through these experiences, I've gained proficiency in fundamental tools and
frameworks such as React JS for frontend development, and Node JS paired
with Express JS for backend projects. I am equally comfortable with working
with SQL databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases
such as MongoDB.
Applying what I've learned, I have developed three projects. First one is
YelpCamp stands out as a comprehensive platform enabling users to discover
campgrounds, reserve stays, and engage in community-driven reviews. Postify,
a dynamic social media platform developed with the MERN stack, empowers
seamless user interaction and content sharing. Moreover, my development of a
Disney Plus Clone using React JS, Firebase, and Firestore mirrors the beloved
streaming service's interface, providing users with a familiar and immersive
entertainment experience. These projects exemplify my commitment to
innovation and excellence in web development.
I firmly believe in the lifelong learning, continually adapting to industry trends to
deliver efficient and user-centric applications. In my academic journey, I have
demonstrated my leadership skills by leading symposium events.
Currently, I'm expanding my expertise in the field of DevOps, diving into
technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to enhance my skill set and stay
updated with the latest advancements in the industry.
I am very eager about exploring how my skills and experiences align with the
requirements of the position the company.
