METHOD STATEMENT FOR WATERPROOFING WORKS
1) Scope of work
- To clean and power wash RC gutter.
- To prepare surface and re-screed to suitable level only at water ponding area to allow for smooth
water flow
- To prepare surface and apply surface water proofing membrane
2) Materials
- Coarse Sand: 15 bags (Sack)
- Cement: 5-6 bags.
- Cement Gam: 3 bags
- SIKA SIKAFLOOR® -3 QUARTZTOP MINERAL DRY SHAKE FLOOR HARDENER (25KG) : 2 bags
- Sika Coat 500 Super (Membrane) - 2-3 drums

4) Method of works
- Surface preparation for both areas, which need screeding and water proofing respectively, we
shall use the following method:
1) Sweep out to RWDP all water, where there is water ponding.
2) To use scrapper to remove all moss and loose debris and disposed and to power wash the
surface.
3) Hand grinder with wire brush to clean any tough grime and roughen the surface before
waterproofing and screeding works.
4) Cement Screeding to be done where there is water ponding to required level using sky lift.
Cement and sand will be premixed at ground level and hoisted up using sky lift.
5) Water proofing compound to be done for the gutter end to end in parts to allow for curing time
before proceed with final coat.
