Acknowledgement

Completing this project would have been impossible without the presence of my

teachers, my department, my friends, and my family and I would like to thank them

for all their support.

First of all, I would mention Dr. G. Tlirupathi Kumar, my Supervisor, for agreeing to

take me as his student and allowing me to carry on my research under his guidance,

for his patience and understanding, for everything I have learnt from him, and above

all, for helping me be myself.

I also thank him, for not only assisting me throughout the course but also for his

interest in my work and his encouragement to explore different ideas to understand

something particular.

I thank Dr. K. Satyanarayana, for being on my Advisory Committee, offering me help

me in developing the analytical structure of this project and assisting me whenever in

need.

Uma Maheswari Bhrugubanda, M. Madhava Prasad, Satish Poduval, M.

Parthasarathi, R. Srivatsan need special mention for offering various courses that

proved vital from the beginning of the research till the completion of writing.
