Statistical Analysis of Job Satisfaction

1) The document provides instructions for an activity analyzing data from a survey using SPSS/Jamovi. 2) It summarizes the sample's gender and marital status, showing most respondents were female and married. 3) Tests for correlation between gender and marital status found no significant correlation. A test also found job satisfaction was normally distributed but burnout level was not, so a non-parametric test would be used.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

INQUIRY, INVESTIGATION, AND IMMERSION

GENERAL INSTRUCTION:
1. AFTER COMPLETETING THE ACTIVITY, RENAME THE FINAL USING THE FORMAT:
SECTION_GROUP#_ACTIVITY1.
2. SUBMIT YOUR OUTPUT TO [Link]@[Link] of or before January 29, 2024
INSTRUCTION: Using the data from III_Activity1.sav answer the following problem using SPSS/Jamovi for
computer processing and analysis.
1. Summarize the Sample’s Profile in terms of Gender and Marital Status

FREQUENCY PERCENT
Gender
Male 51 25.5
Female 149 74.5
Marital Status
Married 107 53.5
Unmarried 93 46.5

2. Identify the Correlation between the respondents’ Gender and Marital Status. Indicate the value in the
table below.

Insert value symbol here p-value (at 0.05 cf)

Gender and Marial Status X^2 0.926

3. You want to find the correlation between the respondent’s job satisfaction and their burnout level. You
wanted to use a specific statistical tool for this process. Using the Shapiro-Wilk test. Complete the table
and identify the statistical tool you’ll be using.

Shapiro Wilk p-value (at 0.05 cf) Decision

Job Satisfaction 0.464 Normal
Burnout Level 0.005 Not normal

Statistical Tool: Spearman’s RHO

4. Proceed with the statistical processing for problem 3.

Job Satisfaction and Burnout Insert value symbol here p-value (at 0.05 cf)
Level p -0.667

Given the hypothesis stated as; There is no significant correlation between the respondents’ job satisfaction
and burnout level. What would be your decision based on the computed data? Explain.
Decision: There is NO significant correlation between the respondents’ job satisfaction and burnout level.
Explanation:
There is NO significant correlation between the respondents’ job satisfaction and burnout level because the P
Value/Sig Value of Spearman’s RHO is less than 0.05 but the statistical data that was computed is -0.667. If the
data is observe through the Spearman’s RHO scale the computed data is near to zero. Therefore, the computed
data shows that there is NO significant correlation between the respondents’ job satisfaction and burnout level.
5. Generate a graph for the correlation, include the Fit Line indicating the direction of correlation between
the variables. Take a screenshot of the graph and paste it below.
