Information
For family members of German citizens (spouses, minor children and parents of minor children), the visa appli-
cation is free of charge. Proof of relationship to the German citizen (birth certificate/marriage certificate + their
passport copy) must be provided in addition to the above listed documents.
Family members of other EU citizens (their spouse; both of the spouses’ relatives in the descending line who
are under the age of 21 or are dependent; both of the spouses’ relatives in the ascending line who are dependent
on the EU citizen) only need to submit the application form, passport, passport copy, a copy of their Omani resi-
dence permit and copies of their parents’ passports (for minor applicants). However, this exception only applies if
they are travelling together with the EU citizen or visiting them. Proof of relationship to and, if applicable, depend-
ency on the EU citizen must be provided (their passport copy, birth/marriage certificate, proof of dependency).
