Continuous Scouring & Bleaching machine:
Continuous scouring and bleaching machine is used for scouring and bleaching the fabric in
a continuous process. In this process the fabric is passed through a solution of salt, soda ash
and other chemicals for scouring and bleaching process. The fabric is also passed through
desizing chemicals for removing size materials.

Function:

 This machine is used for scouring the fabric.

 This machine is used for bleaching the fabric.

 In some cases this machine is used for dyeing the fabric.

 Impurities of the fabric are removed in this machine.

 By this machine a white effect can be produced.

Maintenance:

Regular Maintenance is need for this machine. So the machine should be checked per
week and following processes should be done to maintain the machine:

 Padder gear should be maintained to remove jamming of the gears.

 Sometimes changing and repairing of the bearing of various types of roller is


needed.

 Regular oiling and greasing of roller bearing is needed.

 Regular cleaning of the roller dirt and dust is needed.

 Electricity and motor problems should be removed.


Singeing and Desizing machine:
The singeing and desizing machine is used to remove piling of the fabric by brushing the
fabric and burn the pile fibers by gas burner. It is also used to remove size materials like;
starch, gum, etc. by the desizing process.

Function:

 This machine is used for removing pilling of the fabric.

 This machine is used to avoid damage caused by scouring size material from the
fabric.

 Impurities of the fabric such as; gum, starch etc and 2-3% water impurities are
removed in this machine.
