giving up and helping them

As an educator, I now base my lessons


and assignments around real life
situations and issues that students will
deal with out in society. Making
connections between student interest
and the curriculum has been a practice I
have followed since I began teaching.

that I can teach my students to use
within the classroom and at home.

As an educator, I believe that this chart
represents what I strive for within the classroom.
I want students to feel that the classroom is a
location that has endless opportunities for them
to discover, fail, perceiver and overcome.
I rely upon taking courses, following new practice
initiatives and looking at research that is
occurring on education to support my leadership
actions and practice.
Building a relationship between educators,

practice because I believe that when these
individuals work as a team to support the child, the
student and families will feel respected, valued and

student centered and innovated.

school wide goals based on equity, inclusivity and
student voice. I would like to be innovative in my
thinking and stay on top of changing views and ideas
on education, while supporting teachers growth and
