Arrangemets & Puzzles – Set 1
In a classroom, there are two rows of chairs. There are 6 seats in each row of 5 people. In row1 Iron Man, Thanos, Captain
America, Thor and Spider Man are facing south while in row-2 Black Panther, Ant Man, Doctor Strange, Nebula and Hulk
are facing north but not necessarily in the same order. Iron Man is sitting second to the right of Captain America while
Thanos is sitting at corner. One of the two vacant seats is in one of the corners. Thor is sitting immediately right to Spider
Man. Iron Man and Nebula are related in the same manner as Ant Man and Thor are related. Thanos is sitting in front of
Hulk. Black Panther is not sitting with Ant Man. The person, who is sitting in front of Ant Man, is immediately left to the
Thanos. Spider Man is sitting diagonally opposite to Hulk.

Eight persons viz. A, B, C, E, F, G, I and J sit around a rectangular table such that three persons sit on each longer side and
one person sits on each shorter side. Nobody sits at the corners. The persons whose name starts with vowel do not sit on
the shorter side of the table. Three of them face away from centre while the rest five face towards the centre. B, who faces
centre sits second to the left of E. J is on the immediate right of F, who is at a gap of two persons from E. Neither C nor A
face away from centre. The immediate neighbours of F face away from centre. G is second to the right of A. I is on the
immediate left of F. I is neither adjacent to A nor to C. E is adjacent to G.

Eight persons – A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around a circular table, but not necessarily in the same order. Four of
them are facing inside while rests of them are facing outside.
C is not adjacent to A, who is facing same direction as B. Two persons are sitting between E and G, who are facing different
directions. B is sitting fourth to the left of E, who faces centre. E is sitting second to the right of C. Only one person is sitting
between A and H, who are facing different directions. F is to the immediate left of H, who is facing same direction as E. D
and F are facing same directions.

Certain number of persons sit in a straight linear row facing towards north but information about few of them is given. G
sits second from an extreme end. Only three persons sit between G and E. B is fifth to the left of R. 6 persons sit between R
and E. A, who is third to the left of E, is adjacent to G. 2 persons sit between F and R, who is not at an extreme end.
Number of persons to the right of F is same as number of persons between G and A.

Eight teachers are conducting one to one Quiz competition for the Class X students, for that all of them are seated around rectangular
tables. The rectangular tables are such that one is small and second is large with small inside the larger one. The teachers J to Q are sitting
around the outer rectangular table in such a way that 4 of them sit at the corner of the table and 4 of them sit in the middle of the table
and all of them face towards the Centre. The students R to Y are sitting around the inner rectangular table in such a way that 4 of them sit
at the corner of the table and 4 of them sit in the middle of the table and all of them face outwards the Centre. So in this way, each
teacher is facing his/her respective student for whom he/she is conducting quiz when they are sitting on the same sides of the table. The
experience of all teachers ranges from 1 to 8 years and the registration number of all students ranges from 61 to 68. Teacher/Students
with consecutive alphabetic names are not immediate neighbors in either of the tables i.e. B is not an immediate neighbor of A and C. All
the above information is not necessarily in the same order. L sits adjacent to O, who has least experience among eight teachers. X sits
second to the right of Y and his/her registration number is multiple of 11. Registration number of V and W are prime numbers but W's
registration number is greater than that of V. Only one person sits between J and K, whose experience is divisible by 5. P doesn’t sit
adjacent to J and his/her experience is half of L. Number of persons sitting between X and V is same as between V and W, who did not

attends the quiz by the teacher who has four years of experience. S attends the quiz by the teacher, who has 1 year of experience. S’
registration number is divisible by 9. J’s experience is perfect cube and he/she doesn’t sit at the corner of the table. The experience of
teachers N and Q are not a composite numbers but Q has less experience than N. M is not adjacent to K and only one person sits between
M and N, whose experience is a prime number. Three persons sit between the one who has 8 years experience and L, who has half of the
experience of J.

Seven persons namely N, C, D, R, S, J and K are sitting around a circular table, which has ten seats, but not necessarily in the same order. All
of them are facing towards the centre. Each of them has a different weight in kg among 32kg, 35kg, 40kg, 46kg, 51kg, 55kg, and 60kg, but
not necessarily in the same order. Three seats are vacant.
N is the first person to the right of J and is facing R, whose weight is 60kg.
S is the first person to the left of R and is the third person to the right of J, whose weight is 32kg.
The person, whose weight is 35kg, is the second person to the right of S.
The one, whose weight is lowest, is sitting to the immediate right of the one, whose weight is second highest.
S’s weight is 5kg more than K.
Neither K nor S’s weight is divisible by 5.
N’s weight is less than C but more than D.
Among three vacant seats, only two vacant seats are adjacent to each other.

and Marathi. Information about few of them is given here. All of them face towards the centre of the table.
Sachin is third to the right of Vijay, who does not belong to Hindi film industry. Only five persons sit between Shahid and Vijay when
counted from the left of latter. Shahid sits to the immediate left of Kabir.Arjun belongs to Hindi film industry and is on the immediate left
of Swapnil, who belongs to Marathi film industry. Kiara sits second to the right of Shalini, who belongs to Telugu film industry. Swapnil is at
a gap of six persons from Shalini, who is adjacent to Vijay. The two celebrities from Hindi film industry sit adjacent. The one who is second
to the left of Swapnil belongs to the same industry to which Swapnil belongs. The industry information is given about those celebrities
whose names are known. Only four people sit between Sachin and Kabir when counted from the right of former. Information about two

Eight persons are sitting around a square table in such a way that four of them are sitting at corners while four of them are sitting at the
middle of each edge of the table. All of them are facing towards the centre of the table. Each of them weight is different in kg such that no
two persons have the same weight. Weight of the persons sitting at corners of the table is in a multiple of 3kg and weight of the persons
sitting at the edge of the table is in a multiple of 4kg.
R is sitting second to the left of P, whose weight is 36kg. Only one person is sitting between R and the one, whose weight is 72kg. Third
lightest person and third heaviest person are not sitting adjacent to each other. V is sitting to the immediate right of Q. who is not sitting at
corner of the table. The one whose weight is 60kg. is sitting to the immediate right of the one, whose weight is 42kg. The one, who is
sitting third to the left of the one, whose weight is 42kg, is 24kg lighter than Q. W is sitting to the immediate left of 5. whose weight is

of the table. Some of them are facing towards and some of them are facing away from the centre of the table. Each of them paid different
amount of electricity bill such as Rs.500, Rs.1000, Rs.1500, Rs.2000, Rs.2500, Rs.3000, Rs.3500 and Rs.4000.
S is sitting opposite to the one, who is sitting second to the right of R. S has paid second highest amount and sitting at the edges of the
table. The one, who is sitting to the immediate right of P. has paid fourth lowest amount. The average of the amount paid by Q and T is
same as the amount paid by U. R is sitting to the immediate left of the one, who has paid lowest amount. The amount paid by U is not a
multiple of Rs.1000. The one, who has paid highest amount, doesn't sit opposite to P. The persons sitting adjacent to S are facing in the
same direction. R and S are facing opposite direction to each other. The one, who has paid Rs.2000 more than V and the one, who has paid

people sits between T and W. W sits adjacent to L.

and L. Q sits at extreme end.

towards the centre and likes Physics. Both the immediate neighbors of E faces away from the centre and likes English and Quant. D faces
away from the centre. Both the immediate neighbors of D do not faces away from the centre. E sits third to the right of F. who likes
Reasoning. C sits third to the left of F. The one who likes English sits immediate right of C. The one who likes Chemistry is not the
immediate neighbour of F and faces away from the centre. A sits second to the left of C and does not like Computer and Economics. The
one who likes Computer sits between F and H. B faces away from the centre and does not like Chemistry, F faces away from the centre. A
