It has been proposed to prepare seniority list from feeder categories for the posts of
Librarian (G) in the institutions under the control of the Director of Medical Education, Andhra
Pradesh by the eligible in-service candidates by way of appointment by transfer from any other
category governed by rules in terms of Government orders mentioned in the reference cited for
the panel year 2020 - 21.
LIBRARIAN (G) : As per [Link].207, HM & FW (H) Dept., Dt.05.06.2008.

Qualification:

a) By Promotion – B.A. / [Link] / [Link], plus [Link] or M.A/ [Link] / [Link] with [Link]
of a university Established or incorporated under a Central / State Act or an Institute
recognised by UGC.

b) By Direct recruitment or by transfer from any other category – 1st or 2nd class
MA/[Link]/[Link] with [Link]. of a University establishment or incorporated under a
Central / State Act or an Institute recognised by UGC.
Desirable:

1. Degree in Biology.
2. Knowledge of computerized databases and experience with a biographic utility such
as medicine.

3. Effective communication skills.

Minimum Qualifying Service: No person shall be eligible for appointment by promotion or


appointment by transfer unless he has put in not less than 3 years of service in the category
from which appointment by promotion or by transfer is made, but in any case it shall not be less
than two years.

Probation: Every person appointed to any of the above categories shall from the date of
commencement of probation on which he / she joins duty be on probation for a total period of
two years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years, if appointed by direct recruitment and
for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years if appointed by
promotion or transfer.

Therefore, all the Superintendents of the Teaching Hospitals & Principals of Medical
Colleges, Principals of Dental Colleges & Principals of Nursing Colleges, RIMS Institutions
under the control of the Director of Medical Education, A.P., Vijayawada and all the Regional
Directors of Medical & Health Services in the state are requested to obtain and furnish the
particulars of qualified and willing candidates in the Proforma mentioned below so as to reach
this Office on (or) before 05.07.2021 positively.

Need not submit CR’s, No Dues and No Charges Pending Certificates now.
