 Who are these people?
The names mentioned are the names of heroes who fought for our freedom.
 What have they done for the community? For the country?
Apollinario Mabini is one of the most important revolutionary heroes in
the Philippines. He is the "brain" of the revolution. He was paralyzed by polio
when he was young. He realized that his physical limitations not only affected
his personal life, but also Influence his struggle. His beloved motherland
should become an independent republic. He formulated the principles of
democratic people's government and gave a consistent ideological
orientation to the historical struggles of the Filipino people. Jose Rizal was
powerful because of his silence for freedom. He became a national hero of the
Philippines by fighting in the land. He expressed that they expressed their
love for the Philippines in novels, prose and articles, rather than through
violence or aggression. Both are the most famous writers in the country, and
both are the incarnations of victims in the name of freedom and neighbors.
Both are well-educated and both aspire to surpass the arrogant Indians. Both
Rizal and Mabini were enlightened, borrowing everything possible from
European intellectuals and using it to protest foreign governments.
 Using the criteria of a hero, assess whether they answer the criteria of being
a hero. Analyze and write your answer in a short bond paper.
According to its definition, a hero is defined as an outstanding leader who
surpasses his own kind, serves a noble cause, possesses extraordinary talents,
outstanding and/or entrepreneurial courage, and significantly affects a
person's spiritual life. Their people are in a particularly noteworthy fact. I
think they meet all the standards of heroes. The determination and courage
of Mabini and Rizal enabled them to save the people and the country from the

Spanish. Thanks to their works and novels. It gives Filipinos and the country
the freedom they deserve.
B. Who are the real-life heroes in the time of COVID-19? Indicate the pictures and
elaborate your answer, correspondingly.

C. What are the attributes/characteristics of a national hero? Use the diagram


below and write it in a short bond paper.

Answers: The real-life heroes in my own perspective in those time of pandemic are front
liners are compsed of Doctors, Nurses, Volunteers, Rescuers, Teachers and Riders.

DOCTORS: There is a hero lurking in the deepest darkness night. A hero is always working
is always shinning bright. A hero that needed, will be always be there.

NURSES: They carry out the most difficult tasks and most of the workload. Nurses, most of
whom are women, are our greatest supporters, working endless shifts with special
protective equipment on, which is very hard to keep on while working. Their work never
ends, from making up in beds of patients, to performing therapist, taking test and filling in
documents.

VOLUNTEERS: At the f the covid -19 pandemic, volunteers have demonstrated an


exceptional display of solidarity across the world. Responding to calls for help from their
local communities, they are every day heroes.

RESCUERS: Rescuers have been stepping in to help during the pandemic have been a
beacon of selflessness and optimism.

TEACHERS: The education department should be the last one to surrender. In these times
of pandemic, they put their lives in risk just to continue the learning of the billions of
people in this world. They are heroes.

RIDERS: Those people who risk their lives just to provide the needs of Filipino people since
roaming around and travelling are strictly prohibited, our riders are there for us.
