Eco Mode Engine Speed Management

The document discusses travel mode engine speed management, also called "Travel ECO mode", on WEX machines except the M313D. When in 2nd gear with 100% travel pedal engagement for 2 seconds, the "Rqst Spd Dial" is automatically reduced from 10 to 7 on M316D and up, and to 9 on M315D, to reduce engine speed. This lowers fuel consumption, noise, and improves efficiency by reducing parasitic loads and increasing main pump efficiency at higher pump angles. The conclusion is that while the M300D is faster than the M300C+, fuel consumption is reduced in ECO mode.

Travel Mode Engine Speed Management

(all WEX but M313D)

The Eco Mode automatically reduces „Rqst Spd

Dial“

from dial 10 to 7 (M316D & up)

to 9 on M315D,
(feature not available on M313D)

when the operator is

- in 2 nd gear, and

- withtravel pedal at 100% for 2s at least.

Why Travel Mode Engine Speed Management ?
(also called „Travel ECO mode“)

- Reduced Power Loss

- parasite load from other pumps reduced since lower rpm

- main pump more efficient (because higher main pump angle)

- Reduced Fuel Consumption (obvious at lower rpm),

- Reduced Noise etc...

CONCLUSION: M300D faster than M300C+

but fuel consumption is reduced !
