course for the entire term.
Course description
The course analyzes Philippine History from multiple
perspectives through the lens from various disciplines and of
different genres. Students are given opportunities to analyze
the author’s background and main arguments, compare
different points of view, identify biases and examine the
evidence presented in the document. Through a chronological-
thematic-conceptual perspective, it examines the shaping,
continuing change of the political, economic and cultural
aspect of society of the different historical timelines of the
nation’s history.

LCO1 Develop analytical thinking of our history as a nation from pre-colonial

Final course output
As evidence of attaining the above learning learning outcomes, the
student is required to do and submit the following output at the indicated
date of the term:
LCO1- Analytical and reflective essays on the factors that shaped our
nation in terms of political, economics and socio-cultural of the different
eras of Philippine history through a multiple lens using selected primary
sources .
LCO2- Formulation of contemporary problems that you would want to
research and submit the following:
a. Concept note
b. Script for the final requirement
c. Portfolio of documents to be used in the case study
d. Case study (e.g. documentary film, short films, magazines, vlog,
website etc. on the issues of the society using historical
