Crystalline Cell Production:
XL Telecom is installing state of the art Crystalline Cell
Manufacturing Facility with leading Technology support from
Germany. The present installed capacity of the cell plant will be
120MW per annum.
Also XL Telecom is installing 40MW new line of module
INR6,540.15 million (FY08) manufacturing facility with Technology support from Germany.
With this additional facility the total module production capacity
will be 232MW per annum.

Joint Venture
In March 2009, BHEL entered into an Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) with Bharat Electronics Ltd for exploring the possibility of setting
up a Joint Venture Company in India to address the solar photo-voltaic
business.
In September 2009, Maharishi Solar entered into an agreement with
the Industrial (IST) division of Abengoa Solar Inc. as a part of the
agreement, Abengoa is expected to support Maharishi Solar through
technology transfers, train the company's staff for design installation,
and the operation of various industrial ventures.
In April 2007, Moser Baer Photo Voltaic (MBPV), a wholly owned
subsidiary of Moser Baer India Ltd, acquired 40% equity in Slovenia-
based Solarvalue Proizvodnja.
The company has a minority stake in Stion Corporation, a
nanostructures development company based in the Silicon Valley,
California, for producing extremely low-cost solar power generating
surfaces.
It has a alliance with Skyline Solar, a manufacturer of High Gain Solar

Ammini Solar Pvt Ltd (ISO 9001:2000 certified company) was
started in 2002 for manufacturing Solar Photovoltaic Modules
(Mono crystalline and Poly crystalline). This manufacturing
facility is located at Kazhakuttam, 8 Kilometers north to
Trivandrum, Kerala, South India.
The Omega Electronics started in 1993. The company has
grown from a 3-person firm in 1993 to the India's largest
producer of Balance of System (BOS) for Solar Lighting
systems.
In September 2009, BHEL announced plans to invest INR20
billion to set up a 250 MW solar photo-voltaic production facility
for processing silicon wafers, solar cells, and PV modules.
In 2007, Danish company SolarCAP picked up 50% stake in
Emmvee Solar Systems. SolarCap is a Rs 1,500- crore
company and will offer technology to Emmvee to target the
