"How to Write a Character Profile"

When writing a profile for your character there are a few rules that should be followed
to make that make the whole submission process a lot easier on the both of us. It is
HIGHLY recommended that you incorporate the following elements into your
submissions so it will save me a lot of headaches when I submit the finished product to
Max if your character is indeed chosen. In the past I have went out of my way to
alter/fix bios that were not posted in the correct format but it’s really time consuming
and an overall unpleasant experience.

Requirements
The following items are needed for your character in order to make them editable for
acceptance on the main page.
#1 An Illustration
This is the most obvious. Your Kazahana character needs an illustrated likeness in order to
be recognized as part of the main story. It’s important to remember, even though Max does
all the drawings for the characters, it is up to the creator to determine their character’s
likeness through their drawings. Now it’s a known fact that not all of us are gifted artist who
are capable of drawing a picture that can stand on its own merit, which is ok. If you showed
that you really tried to draw your character yourself to the best of your abilities and
submitted an outstanding story, then by all means your submission will be taken despite
your slipshod illustration skills. The Kazahana crew rewards effort more than anything else.
There are other ways to get around the obstacle of not being able to draw as well. There are
many artist on the Lifepoint1 message board who are generous enough to lend their artist
talents to your cause. All you gotta do is ask them through the PM system and show your
appreciation to their efforts afterwards. Now, I will not openly say which artist off such
services as I don’t want them to be swamped with request so you’ll have to find them
yourselves but then again that’s what makes the whole collaborative process enjoyable.

#2 History
Your Kazahana has to come from somewhere. Just like all good characters that populate
books, movies, tv shows, people need to know who these people are and where they come
from. History by far is one of the biggest motivational factors. It is important that we know
how someone came to be that way a clearer picture of that particular person is painted in our
heads and no confusion is created. For example, let’s say you made a Kazahana who was
just a regular plumber by trade and in your project he starts kicking huge amounts of butt
with a hidden martial arts technique then the viewer would be scratching their heads in
confusion. This is due to the fact you never established that your plumber practices how to
fight every other day of the week. However the most important thing about a history is that
it allows other authors to get a better idea of your character incase they want to use them in
their stories and we all know how much you would love to have your character be accepted
into a submission. Also I highly suggest writing your history bio so that it’s short and
concise. Long stories may be intriguing to read, but remember I have to condense all of that
information into one paragraph. Please follow this suggestion as it will make life a little bit
easier for me.

#3 Reasons for Entering 15 f 🐦
7 Jul 2006 - 15You gotta take a step back and really think of the implications of the tournament.
Jun 2008 2007 2008 2009 The ▾ About this capture
Kazahana Mass Family Battle is a gigantic free-for-all tournament where you can kill or be
killed at a moment’s notice anytime time. Entering this tournament is a pretty serious
decision and not something you would do on a whim as you would probably have some sort
of rational for entering in the fray. The most obvious reason why someone would participate
is money, plain and simple. However, don’t let the prize money limit your thinking when it
comes to possible reasons for entering the tournament. Revenge against another Kazahana,
dreams of stopping the tournament or reuniting with a lost family member. The possibilities
are almost infinite.

#4 Strengths and Abilities

Ok, here’s where things get fun, thinking of how your character gets to kick butt as an
official Kazahana. When it comes to special abilities, the Kazahana Universe offer’s
immense freedoms on what a person can and can not do as it can be described as loosely
based reality. The laws of physics and nature exist in the world that the Kazahana’s populate
but are not strictly enforced. Examples of abilities/augmentations that follow this rule are as
follows...

1. Customized weapons are armor

2. Qi attack and healing techniques that are not super powers (such as flying, shooting
fireballs etc.)
3. Advanced martial arts studies
4. Biological or chemical implants that enhance the user’s abilities

This is just a small sampling of what Kazahana’s can do. There are many other abilities that
can not be classified in such an oversimplified chart such as the specialization on the use of
poison or knowledge about the human anatomy. Really let your creative spirit fly when you
come to this part of the creation process.
