SYNOPSIS
The project Entitled “Foreign Import and Export Management System”
has been developed under Visual Basic 6.0 as front end and MS Access 2007 as back
end.
The Objective of the project is Foreign Import and Export Management
System is attainment of an organization's import and export goods goals are in an
effective & efficient manner through computerization. It is an integrated Freight
Management System for Freight Forwarding; Consolidation is based on a
sophisticated cargo management system that provides visibility on cargo positions,
shipment lead times, delivery dates, freight costs, and much more. From sourcing
trading partners, to monitoring shipments, to improving efficiency by eliminating
redundant procedures by manual subscription, Freight Management System can
address the entire range of business processes in the import and export business.
Revenue, transferring of goods, receiving of goods includes the various tasks
and its management of that process is the most important function. The most difficult
part of tracking the past activities is ascertaining whether or not the activities can be
tracked effectively and economically, as it is the manual. The records maintenance of
the activities has been done through in an effective manner. In the end, management
must have measurable methods of knowing if mediators of the representatives are
correctly engaging in the activities that produce revenue.
The project has the forms and is sorted and cross-referenced by goods product,
dates, and reference numbers and other related contacts so user can easily find the
information user looking for. The fact that goods are, valuable for accounting
purposes forever for the customers. The sending goods details should be updated
along with their consignee and consignor details. The receiving goods are come up
with consignee details, according to this, that the product could be delivered, all the
merchandise transferred through the air or ship.

MASTER
a. CUSTOMER ENTRY
This module is used to maintain the details on the customer for
making report and future use. Such details regarding the customer are
customer id, name, address, mobile and mail id, these details are stored in
the database table.
b. GOODS ENTRY
This module has to be used to store the details of the goods what
comes in to the concern. This information is used to maintain the stock
updation and selling process. This stores the following details in the
database like item code, name, description, purchase rate and sales rate.
c. DESTINATION ENTRY
This sub module is used to store the details on the goods where to
be exported from a source. This contains the following data such as
location id, location city, country and shipment through.

TRANSACTIONS
d. IMPORT OPERATIONS
It is a module used to update the import operations of the
company, which the goods are arrived to the local station. The goods
related details such as consignor, consignee, and other goods
specifications.
e. EXPORT OPERATIONS
It is a module used to update the exported goods operations of the
company, which the goods are depart from the local station to the destined
locations. The goods related details such as consignor, consignee, and other
goods specifications.

It is a view of the customer collections and displays with their
personal details.
