7. Find the sum and difference between the following numbers:
30-- 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210, 240, 270, 300
Common multiples-- 60, 120, 180 6 multiple of 13 and 8th multiple of 9
th

LCM-- 60 Sum= 78+72= 150

Difference= 78-72= 6
3. Find the HCF and LCM of 18 and 16 using prime factorization 8. Write the greatest 5- digit even number as a product of primes
99998= 2x49999
18= 2x3x3 16= 2x2x2x2
HCF= 2 LCM= 2x3x3x2x2x2=144 9. Check the divisibility of the following numbers by 4, 6 and 11
a. 220220220 b. 796504 c. 241405
4. Find the HCF and LCM of 42 and 84 using prime factorization. a. Divisibility by 4
42=2x3x7 84=2x2x3x7 220220220 ends with 20, so divisible by 4
Divisibility by 6
HCF = 2x3x7= 42
This is an even number with sum of digits= 12, divisible by3.
LCM= 2x2x3x7= 84 So this number is divisible by 6.
Divisibility by 11
The sum of alternate digits:2+0+2+2+0 and 2+2+0+2 is same as 6 and 6
difference = 6-6=0, divisible by 11
so, 220220220 is divisible by 11
( do b and c in the same way)
