INFORMATIVE TEXT

Translating E-book entitled Quality Assurance For Animal Feed Analysis Laboratory

Translation has crucial meaning in understanding any knowledge especially if that


information is in foreign language. Language is affecting peoples life because it is an
instrument to communicate with people in different country. Interactions between people in
the different country bring up a certain relationship each other. It will be difficult for
everyone who came from different countries with different languages to get the latest
information about any knowledge. Then, the result of translation will help people to get the
content of the information clearly. Translation has been practiced in many part of human
activity such as for commercial advertisement, entertainment, public administration, scientific
research and publication, judiciary procedure, immigration, and education.

In education, translation plays an important role to the development of science from


several countries over the world. The result of translation helps experts in various fields of
science in different country to spread their experiment related to human necessary. It can be
in the form of Journals, articles or e-book that useful for the needs of student in some level to
enrich their knowledge.

Translating a text or book is not only copying a text from one language to another. It
is also talk about the way to convey the message from Source Language (SL) into Target
Language (TL) in the same point without reduced or increased the information within the
text. It takes any discipline knowledge to make it clearly and acceptable by the readers. This
is very important to notice by a translator especially if the text or the information used as
references for learning media in higher educational level.

State of Polytechnic Jember as one of high vocational institute which has purposes to
build an excellent academic character required the students to learn some sources as
additional reference for their learning process. Husbandry Department in Polytechnic Jember
has implemented this procedure by using E-Book entitled Quality Assurance for Animal Feed
as references to assist their practical work that will be applied in the next semester. But this e-
book is in English version; however it must be translated into Indonesian to make easily
while practiced by the student and also the lecturer.

Because of this situation, in this final project the writer would like to translate on
page 154 to 178 this e-book in Indonesian with appropriate language that can be accepted
generally based on the context of e-book. The writer hopes this e-book help the Husbandry
Department to enrich their knowledge in teaching-learning process.

And by doing this translation project, hopefully it can give benefit to the first, the
writer itself that she can improve their skill in interpreting language. Second, To the rector
and the student of Husbandry Department that they can used this E-book in Indonesian
Version for their practical learning. Third, to English Department student that can learn
about the methods and the step to translating. Last, to the public who work in Husbandry
fields.
