SHILOH ENT. INC. History

The corporation was established in the year 2011. It was first started by the
couple Mr. Ricardo and Mrs. Loida Espiritu as a small scale home manufacturing
industry in the late 1980s as a sub-contractor of other bigger manufacturer of bedroom
slippers. In year 2000 they become a direct supplier of bedroom slippers to mall
department stores and other hotels in the Philippines and thats when the company
name, SHILOH ENTERPRISEZ INC. was created.

Mission
SHILOH ENTERPRISEZ INC.s mission is to achieve world-class standards
through our values of hard work, focus and integrity. To meet the ever-changing needs
of the customers as we constantly innovate to provide our hard working Filipinos world

this fast phase industry to deliver the best customer experience and comfort in the
markets we serve. From a small scale home industry up to present, we believe that we
are all stewards of God's creation and resources no matter how big or small is given.

II. Current Project

a. What is your current project and where is it located?
SHILOH ENTERPIRISES INC. is a small production of slipper. And also was
found in Barangay San Juan Floodway, Taytay Rizal.
[Link] what is project all about?
The company`s project is to focus mainly on production of slippers to different
malls around the metro but the company doesnt do the distributon directly because
they already have a middle company that does the distribution for them. They straightly
focus on their production.
c. Objectives of the project
The objectives of the project is very simple that is to produce the target qouta of
the slippers and give the needs of the worker and also improve more the quality
of our slippers.

d. How you classify your current project? Is it compliance, Emergency,

Operational or strategic project?
Current projects are on strategic and operational approach since the company is
a production company.

III. Project Management Ethics

a. Project Initiation
1. How do you select Project?
Project are not selected because SHILOH produced a mass amount of slippers
depending on the distributors quota. The company SHILOH ENTERPRISEZ INC. is
operating as a manufacturing firm, producing only bedroom slippers at start. Through
the years as the company grow and develop it also engage in making hotel slippers,
company giveaway slippers, outdoor slippers, producing to approximately 35,00040,000 pairs of slippers per month.

2. What Do you think the key skills of that put you in your current position as
project manager? And what skills should a good manager possess in order to be a
project manager like you?
To be honest our company is made up of family members so dealing with
everyday situation is very easy for me.
b. Project planning
1. Regarding your current project, what are the resources needed for this
project?
The resources of the company needs the purely material that comes locally and
abroad, such as Marikina, Divisoria and China.
2. How do you foresee future risks and how do you handle it?
Foreseeing future risk is hard because in a company as small as ours, We have
to be optimistic at all times, if ever that time comes, as a family we will do together.
3. Can you tell us your estimate amount of budget of your current project?

The price of our products has a direct impact on the supply.

We cater malls that most of which the class B,C and D population often visit, so it
means that our product must have a competitive price. Since bedroom/indoor slippers is
not considered as one of the main commodities people need to feel that buying it would
not hurt their budget much.
A pair of our ladies slippers cost only Php99.75 on display at SM Malls, our biggest
client on the list. Since SM Malls have many outlets all over the country, we can offer
them a much lower price that those we offer in Rustans which have lesser outlets in our
country. Pricing also have an effect on which customers we would like to cater.
Rustans Department Store have class A and B potential buyers so we can increase our
price a little when it comes to their store.
4. Which method do you prefer
tracking or Crashing?

in compressing schedule of activities? Fast

In compressing schedule of activities, If i choose between the Fast tracking or

crashing, ill go with fast tracking because we need to develop slippers to get the quota
but we never forget the quality that we make for the slippers.
5. How do you allocate your company scarce resources among multiple projects?
Our company rarely encounters having scarcity of resources because we take
the materials locally and internationally.
6. Do you prioritize certain project? How do you deal in dividing resources among
the low prioritized projects?
In terms of project we always depend on the effectively of our employee. For
example certain employee can produce 50 slippers but we do our rush moments in
which we require our employees to produce a certain amount of pairs per day.
7. What are the problems you encounter in resource allocation?
The company as I`ve said it is a small so the resource allocation is really not a
problem.
c. Project Execution
1. As a project manager, How do you monitor the performance of the project?
The performance of the project sidely depends upon the produced amount of
goods. They are directly proportional,
2. What are the certain instances in the execution are difficult to monitor?

Its difficult to monitor them during also when we are in a rush period.
3. How do you control your project resources? (financial factors and man-power)
Controlling project resources?Since the company is made up of family memebrs
all are equally distributed.
4. Do you have an auditing team in the projects? How does it help?
We dont have an auditor, as a project manager and at the same tme im also the
auditor.
5. When is the time you need to decide to terminate a project?
Termination of projects only happensin the distributing company says that they
have enough products for the given time.
6. So far, what is the biggest project did the company performed/performing? Is it
succesful?
Everyday for us is a big project, and yes we always put into our mind and heart
that every project should always be succesful and clear.
7. How many succesful projects do the company executed? Name one and what
are the benefits the company gets in this?
We had a lot of company executed, but naming them is stricttly prohibited due to
company`s privacy. Companys main benefit is to get a lot more orders of our product
and given them a good discount to our product since they always ordering to us.

Part II
What is the problem of the company always experience when it comes in to project?
On a serious note, the problem that would probably put into mind is facility and
manpower, due to a small company. We only have a few space to work with and it
affects our efficiency and the other one is manpower due to the gact that we are small
company and it gets difficult to us to receive irder by thousands.
