8.50-9.20 - Practice previous lessons material. How are you? How is the
weather? etc. Introduce the lessons topic. Teachers Day.
Whats a teacher? How many teachers are in the room? Teachers names? etc.
9.20-9.50 - Talk about your favourite teacher. What teachers do they like. Teach
'kind', 'nice', 'beautiful', 'good'. etc. Each child must drill.
Give paper. Each student must then be instructed to draw their favourite teacher.
Once finished each student stands up, and talks about the teacher they like.
2.50-3.20 - Teach them about teachers day. Teach numbers 1-20. Months of the
year. January - December.
Tell them about todays date. Explain teachers day. What celebrations happen?
Where does it come from?
Explain Chinese teachers day. Conficious. How to bow. Watch Chinese TV show
and teach students to bow to their teachers.
3.20-3.50 - Draw all teachers in the class. Pick up students, place on paper and
draw around them. Three teachers. Judy, Amy and Jenny. Children then draw
outline, and colour in. Place on wall.

9.20-9.50 - Teach the word 'gift'. When do you get gifts? Chistmas/birthdays. etc.
What gifts do you get on Christmas. etc. Work your way to Teachers day.
Get the students to name things given to teachers. List on board. Drill and play
memory games around list.
2.50-3.20 - Starfall - Phonics - A. Games centered around it, and colouring in
exercises.
3.20-3.50 - Create a gift for the teacher. Practice the list of gifts they remember
from the morning class.
Ask students what gift they want to make for the teacher.
Get them to make it via arts and crafts. Paper, card, bottles and whatever can be
found. Once students have finished the gifts keep them from the students.

2.50-3.20 - Create teachers day cards. Draw on board, show what is looks like.
Write Happy Teachers day.
Give students paper. Fold in half. Explain to write Happy Teachers Day on one
side. On inside 'Love from.... name'.
Decorate. Paint. Add items.
3.20-3.50 - Give cards and gifts to their favourite teachers, say I love you, and
say why you like them. Go around each class and say happy teachers day, and
bow in traditional Chinese style.

2.50-3.20 - Students are the teachers. I read a book 'No David'. Students sit next
to me and give out commands to bad children. Eg. Listen to James, be quiet, no
talking. etc.
3.20-3.50 - Acting - Jack And The Beanstalk. Go downstairs and act out.

9.20-9.50 - Math - Blocks. Teach basic subtraction. Visual learning. Simplify
subtraction.
2.50-3.20 - Starfall - Phonics, same as before with the letter A. Build on Starfall
and teach other words begining with the letter A.
3.20-3.50 - Teach about different culutures. Have photos of American, Japanese,
British, Chinese, African and Korean teachers. etc. Teach hello teacher in all of the
languages. If I say Korea. Students speak in Korean. Drill.
Game around this with flags on board. Yell out country students run, touch and
speak language.
