Desktop
When you switch on your computer, the following screen appears after sometime.
Whatever you have on your computer is accessible from the icon called My Computer. The small pictures on the Desktop are called icons.

This shows that your computer has a floppy drive of size 3 1/2". You can insert a floppy in the floppy drive. When you double-click this icon, it gives you the contents of the floppy disk inside the drive.
