Maggie H @maggiemac May 6 I enjoyed the show in a lot of ways. The actors are great, the director is clearly talented. The story is interesting. The characters are likeable - but that’s mostly due to the hard work of the actors. The writing leaves a lot to be desired in the interactions between the characters and the sorely underdeveloped relationships. Characters go from appearing to have genuine chemistry and enjoying each others’s company, and then the next moments it’s as though we’ve missed a scene because they’re suddenly taking about each other as though they’re enemies and it should be obvious to the audience. Did these missing scenes end up on the cutting room floor or did the writers just schizophrenically jump from one emotion to another, too busy getting caught up in pseudo-emotionally-raw cleverness? Hard to say, but makes it difficult to watch at times. See more Michel M. @BillNye Jan 7 I thought it was pretty good. I don’t know why people are reviewing it so harshly. It’s entertaining and has great production. The visual and audio is top tier as it should be from AppleTV. I would ignore the reviews and watch it yourself. You might just like it. Taron Egerton genuinely creeped me out. I enjoyed the chorus of characters, and appreciated that they didn't try too hard to dive deep into some of the supporting characters. We just got to enjoy their support. The twists and turns kept me guessing. My least favorite character was the son---- I could have done without him. Excellent series. Well produced. Good music.
