It is primarily residential complex having independent houses, bungalows. It also homes the office of the Chief Electoral Commissioner and other corporate offices. A few key residential projects are M2K Victoria Gardens, Uttam Homes. Other well-known real estate developers in and around the locality are Uttam Associates, M2K India, Best Homes, Swaraj Homes Builders.

Model Town is one of the oldest locality of North Delhi.
