The most powerful sales tool isn’t a spec sheet — it’s a live demo. What do you think about this one? Across industries, the data is overwhelmingly clear: 🔹 67% of enterprise buyers say seeing a product in action is the #1 factor influencing their decision. 🔹 Demos shorten sales cycles by 30–50%, especially for complex solutions like servers and GPU-accelerated workloads. 🔹 In assistive tech—like mobility or handicap-support chairs—real-world demonstrations boost customer trust by 70%, because impact is immediately visible. 🔹 For AI/HPC hardware, customers who see workload performance live are 3× more likely to move forward compared to those who only receive documentation. Why? Because visibility removes uncertainty. A demo translates complexity into clarity. It turns “theory” into tangible value. Whether it’s: ⚡️ a next-gen server showing real performance under load, 🧠 a GPU pipeline speeding up an AI workload in real time, or ♿️ an assisted mobility chair transforming someone’s daily life… Seeing the product in action closes the gap between curiosity and commitment. This is the difference between telling and showing — and that gap is where conversion happens. #Innovation #Technology #HPC #AI #GPU #Servers #DataCenter #TechLeadership #Innovation #CustomerExperience #AIInfrastructure #AccessibilityTech

Interactive demos are still relatively new and haven't been widely adopted yet. Theoretically, showing your product and allowing website visitors to interact with it should increase conversion rates and speed up the sales process, right? So in this report, we analyzed more than 2M website sessions to understand whether this hypothesis is valid. In short, yes it is. In Navattic's report, Natalie Marcotullio found that interactive demos can increase website conversion rates by 16%. Our dataset shows a slightly different picture—significantly better, in fact. We found out that: -Interactive demos increase the chance of generating MQLs by 63%. -If the website visitor engages with the interactive demo before submitting the demo form, we see a net 1.5x better MQL:SQL -Companies with interactive demos on their websites close deals 23% faster than those without. If I were a sales leader leading a 10 person AE team trying to close deals at the end of the quarter while my buyers ghost every meeting request, here's the exact play I'd run. (Share this in your Slack channel) Step 1: Accept the New Reality Buying doesn't happen live as much anymore. Your buyers are researching at 11pm, sharing demos internally at 6am, and making decisions in Slack threads you'll never see. Instead of fighting it, we adjust to the reality and play that game. Which leads into the next point. Step 2: Build Async Momentum Don't have your team send links and pray something happens. Because most of the time that leads to nowhere fast. Here's what actually works: ↳ Use interactive demos that let buyers explore on their own time ↳ Track WHO is watching and WHAT sections they replay ↳ Set up automated follow-ups based on their actual behavior Tools like Consensus make this very simple. Imagine, you can see when Sarah from Procurement (we finally got you procurement) watched the pricing section 3 times at midnight. That's intel we can leverage in our sales cycle. Step 3: Let the Demo Do the Selling Unfortunately most buyers don't trust salespeople. (I know, it stings.) That's why your demos need trusted voices like customers, executives, etc proof that isn't just your reps pitching. Your buyers are sharing your demo internally without telling you. This is an opportunity to leverage that insight. Make sure your demo: ↳ Answers objections before they're raised ↳ Speaks to multiple personas (not just your main contact) ↳ Gives you visibility into who else is watching When the CFO watches your ROI section, you know the deal is moving. Even if no one replied to your email. Step 4: Follow Up With Context, Not Desperation Instead of "Just checking in..." or "touching base" these are the worst by the way. By the way, please stop doing this and whoever taught this I am coming after you. Anyways, try this: "Hey Sarah - looks like your team spent time on the integration section. Typically when people look at that section they have questions around x,y, and z. Opposed to me looping in our solutions engineer to answer any technical questions?" No guesses here. Just proactively solving the problems that are already in their head. The best sales teams in 2026 aren't chasing buyers. They're building momentum buyers can't ignore.... even at midnight. #ConsensusPartner

Stop asking vendors to show you their product. Ask them to use it with you. Most demos look impressive because they’re designed to. But they rarely show how the system behaves when your team touches it for real. I learnt a smarter method in New Zealand: a 90-minute working session starting from nothing. No polished demo scripts, just your team, their team, and the reality of how fast you can get to value. This exercise has saved me months of configuration pain and vendor regret. It’s fast. It’s honest. And it reveals truths that would normally cost you months (and a small fortune) to learn the hard way: - How intuitive the platform really is - How the vendor collaborates under pressure - What becomes configuration debt - How fast you can get to actual value This is just one of the practical, real-world methods that helped me oversee more than $750M in IT procurement and navigate major shifts in the enterprise software market. Let’s connect if you want more practical GRC and AI techniques to help your team make better decisions. I’ll be sharing plenty more as the #AIGRCGuy!

373 B2B users voted. Nearly 1 in 3 said THIS is what makes them bounce (after no pricing): No real product pictures or product demos. I was surprised because the other options were: - Buzzwords - Gated content They can tolerate those 2 sins if they can just SEE the product. Here are some comments from the poll: "That moment you visit the product page and see everything else but the product..." "Real pics (even better videos) and demos! I want to see how it works before I even consider engaging in a conversation." "and then you submit a 12 page form to book a demo, only for the call to be an SDR doing discovery who also won't be showing you the product 🙅🏻♀️ " “If I can’t see your product, I’m not sticking around.” And yet… most landing pages still rely on: – Cropped screenshots that hide functionality – Vague UI mockups that don’t mean anything – Or worse: stock imagery that 12 other sites use Some fixes aren't complicated. Some solutions are just as simple as: Show the buyer what you're selling. If you want to take it to the next level...let them interact with the product beforehand. It's like when Amazon launched the Try Before You Buy option for clothing. The B2B version is interactive demos. Now as the consumption queen, I'm all about anything that will make people engage but we also need data to convince the higher powers. I asked Storylane to send them to me and lookie: - Website conversion rates improve by 7.9x - Deal conversion rates go up by 3.2x - Sales cycles reduce from 33 to 27 days *based on 110k web sessions and 150 deals. VERY intriguing. Qualitatively, I asked a client of mine who uses interactive demos on her website (through Storylane) about her experience and she said this: "The rationale behind it is so that people get to the 'aha, magic moment' quicker than signing up for a demo. Right now I think about it in terms of delivering a good user experience on our site" So now the next steps for my own work: - Add it to landing pages - Marry that with search intent - Watch that consumption magic happen I'll share more first-hand data soon. Do you use interactive demos? What have you seen?

We all know by now that interactive demos are 🔥 for PLG, but what about sales-led SaaS? Should you 'give away' your demo? (Here’s a data-led take 📊 ) One of our sales-led clients was on the fence about this. But think about it: → Many sales-led companies don't offer trials or freemium. That creates a LOT of friction for buyers. But more than 60% of b2b buyers agree that they would prefer to skip “sales calls” entirely from their research phase. → Now imagine your prospect getting that "aha" moment before they even hop on a sales call. Prospects get real value upfront MQL to SQL ratio is higher Sales cycles shrink And conversion rates go up. Sounds nice on the surface but I do have data to back this up. In a data-set of 110,257 web sessions we saw that prospects who engaged with an interactive demo: → Website conversion rates improve by 7.9x (3.05% vs 24.35%) → Deal conversion rate improved by 3.2x (3.1% vs 10.1%) Still not convinced? → You've probably heard of Dreamdata right? I heard the other day on a podcast that they closed their largest deal in the company history thanks to interactive demos. → Even Gartner & CMI data support this claim by showing a 20% increase in sales after finishing an interactive demo. Without a trial or freemium options we need to focus on pushing buyers to take the next step of booking that call. Without giving away the full experience, If your demo could show: → Your most compelling use-cases → Keep the experience high-level → Sprinkle in targeted CTAs in-between the demos You're not giving away everything. You're just letting them peek over the fence and get a feel for your product. If it seems like a fit, they'll book a call. The evidence is strong, Unless you see a reason NOT to do this... In which case, hit me in the comments. I'm all ears 👂

"How does Storylane use Storylane?" I get asked this all the time. Fair question. So here's our actual playbook (so far): 1/ Website: Interactive demos on our homepage, product pages, and landing pages. Adding interactive demos to enterprise pages soon (should've done that way sooner). 2/ Champion enablement: GOLD. Custom interactive demos for champions at target accounts. Instead of hoping they explain your product right, you control the narrative. They use these interactive demos to sell internally. We've closed deals way faster. 3/ Conference booths: Screen with interactive demos on autopilot. Simple but works every time. 4/ Demo QR codes at events: On slides or booth backdrop. Attendees scan, experience interactive demos on phones and take your product back home with them. Perfect when booth is packed. 5/ Outbound: Stop telling, start showing. "Here's a 2-min interactive demo" beats feature pitches. Response rates? Night and day difference. 6/ LinkedIn: For announcing new features, add interactive demos links so viewers click through actual product, then book/signup. Or show it as native content on LinkedIn (video/GIF) by downloading your interactive demos. 7/ Demo-led SEO (DLS): Targeted ICP's search queries with tutorial pages with no text and only interactive demos (like "how to merge a custom field in Salesforce"). Grew from 20K to 220K monthly visits in <6 months. Google is loving DLS content. 8/ BOFU blogs: For "Best X Alternatives" posts, embed interactive demos of competitors' products. Visitors evaluate options on your page instead of bouncing to other sites. Game changer. 9/ Product launch campaigns: Hard to time product release date with marketing launch date. So instead create interactive demos from the staging environment of the feature while in development and use it for your launch. Use these interactive demos in webinars and give waitlist early access to the preview with a demo of the feature. It worked amazing for us. 10/ Feature announcements: One-line email + interactive demo link beats lengthy explanations of your feature every time. 11/ Win-back campaigns: Show churned customers what they're missing with interactive demos of new features since they left. Works better than any "we've improved" messaging. 12/ Product validation: Not sure if a feature is worth building? Create quick interactive demos using Figma screens and demo it to gauge prospects' excitement. Saved months of development. 13/ Support: Replace long help articles with interactive demos. People prefer seeing how to solve problems with interactive demos. 14/ Sales Enablement: Give sales team persona-specific and feature-specific interactive demos. Reuse these interactive demos as YouTube content too. 15/ Social - Feature announcements with embedded interactive demos get way more engagement than standard posts. Our demo playbook is continuing to expand, but this is what's working well right now. Hope this helps!

I've rolled out Navattic 5 times across different companies. Been a user since the early days. Watched it evolve from a scrappy tool to the platform that now powers 40,000+ demos a year. So when they asked me to be an advisor, it was an easy yes. Today they dropped the State of the Interactive Product Demo 2026. And the data backs up what I've seen firsthand. Three stats that stood out: → Multi-flow demos crush single-flow. 48% higher completion rates. If you're still building one long linear demo, you're leaving engagement on the table. → Top 1% demos hit 71% CTR. That's up from 54% last year. The gap between good and great demos is widening. → Interactive demos convert 12% higher than product videos. Same effort, better results. What didn't change: → Ungated still beats gated (65% ungated, 6% higher engagement) → 5-13 steps per flow remains the sweet spot → 25-30 words per step for optimal readability Here's the thing most teams miss: 18% of B2B SaaS websites now have an interactive demo CTA. That's up 50% from last year. If you're not using them yet, you're behind. If you're building or refreshing demos this year, this report has everything you need. There's nothing better than watching a prospect have their "aha" moment happen during a demo. And this got me thinking - what if there are other "aha" moments I can help create for our market? This is a huge opportunity for interactive product demos to help. 1) The relevant "aha" moment On a demo, we get to the "aha" moment more often because we have a ton of information about what's relevant to the prospect on the call with us. For companies who sell to multiple segments/personas or have multiple products, you can get ahead of this by leveraging those webpages on your site. Prospects want to know "is this for me?" and this is the opportunity to show them that it is by having an interactive product demo related to that segment, product, use case, etc. 2) The new feature "aha" moment Many of us struggle with new feature adoption. Customers get comfortable with "what they know" within the platform and stick to that. Instead of sending a bland feature announcement email or monthly product update that explains how these new features work, *show* customers how they work by including these interactive product demos directly in the email. 3) The resolution "aha" moment There's nothing worse than waiting hours (or days) to hear back from customer support on a request you put in. Especially when you've looked through the help center and the article that is supposed to help solve the problem we experience seems like it's written in a foreign language. This is where an interactive product demo can be a huge savior. Determine what your team gets support tickets for most regularly that aren't resolved by the help center + require human intervention. Make an interactive product demo that takes them through step by step how to resolve. And voila - happy customers + an unburdened customer support team. These are just 3 of many use cases that I'm building out for us with Storylane. I used to think interactive product demos were overhyped. Now that I think about going beyond the generic "replace a demo with an AE" use case, I feel like we're just scratching the surface on where these will help us grow. #storylanepartner

We analyzed over 110,257 web sessions and 150 deals to measure the impact of interactive demos on conversion rates and time to convert. How we did it? We used Factors.ai to build anonymized funnels, mapping website sessions. Then, we compared the performance of prospects that engage with an interactive demo against the overall average from our dataset. The results: 24.35% website conversion rate (sign-up, form submission, etc.) from website visitors that engaged with an interactive demo. 3.05% average website conversion rate when there is no interactive demo. That’s nearly 8x greater... 8x! Big win... 🤯 So here are 3 takeaways: 💡Interactive content drives engagement & conversions. It’s stickier than static content. It resonates better and keeps visitors engaged longer. 💡Placement matters, so make interactive demos easy to find. Position prominently on high-intent pages. Don’t bury demos in the footer or behind too many clicks. 💡Don’t gate too early. Let the demo sell first. Instead of gating with a form upfront, let prospects explore first. A well-placed lead form inside the demo (after a few steps), leads to better conversions. #interactivedemos #websiteconversion #plg #conversionoptimization
