Met with our Japan Cloud and Software team recently and came away thinking about what the next generation of device experience actually looks like. The team's focus is on building an intelligent software platform that enables Lenovo PCs to detect, diagnose, and increasingly resolve issues autonomously (often before users even notice them). This is where Hybrid AI starts to feel practical rather than theoretical. On-device intelligence handles what needs to happen immediately. Cloud-powered insights provide the fleet-level learning that makes the whole system smarter over time. The combination moves us from reactive support to something closer to self-healing: 1️⃣ Fewer interruptions. 2️⃣ Better reliability. 3️⃣ Users stay focused on their work instead of troubleshooting their device. The Japan team understands something important: the goal is not adding more AI features but making technology invisible. If AI is working well, users should not have to think about it. Their device just works better than it used to. That is a harder problem than it sounds. It requires a different mindset than building features people can see and demo. But it is the version of AI that actually improves daily experience rather than adding complexity to it. Good conversations with the team.
