Through the @HP Foundation’s HP LIFE program, we’re expanding access to practical AI, digital, and business skills so more people (esp. entrepreneurs) can participate and help shape the future. Volunteers from HP Solutions joined forces with Deloitte’s Believers program hosting three STEM-focused events across HP’s Palo Alto, Houston, and Bangalore sites. Together with local nonprofit partners, they helped students explore how technology, creativity, and teamwork can be leveraged to address real-world challenges. The events supported HP Solutions Youth Impact Month—an internal initiative focused on empowering young people with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the future of work. A total of 47 HP and 35 Deloitte volunteers served as team advisors to support the 70 students who took part in the three events. They built rovers and worked through a hands-on design challenge focused on expanding access to clean water and sanitation, using smart technology to bring their ideas to life through simple prototypes. Along the way, they strengthened STEM skills, practiced problem-solving, and gained exposure to the kinds of thinking that will shape tomorrow’s workforce. Many thanks to American Red Cross Northern California Coastal Region, Girls Inc. of Greater Houston, and Shishu Mandir, Bangalore for helping bring these experiences to life. Investing in education means investing in the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Through our long-standing partnership with Girl Rising, HP and the HP Foundation are proud to support the continued expansion of the RISE program in India.   Over the past month, 165 teachers from more than 35 schools participated in training workshops, preparing them to bring the RISE curriculum to 3,800+ students this academic year. Together, they're helping young people build the skills, confidence, and aspirations needed to thrive in school, at work, and in life.   Delivered through 30 interactive classroom sessions, RISE is designed to equip students with essential skills including social-emotional learning, leadership, gender equality, digital and financial literacy, and climate awareness.   In addition to preparing teachers to deploy the curriculum, the workshops gave RISE graduates a platform to share their experiences. Their stories offered compelling examples of the program's potential to inspire change.   This marks an important milestone following last year’s successful RISE pilot, which drove a 77% increase in the belief that girls possess equal intelligence to boys, and increased girls’ commitment to pursuing post-secondary education from 84% to 93%.   We’re proud to support Girl Rising in this work, and excited to see how students and teachers alike carry forward their learnings.   #RISEIndia #Education #DigitalInclusion #FutureOfWork

Last week, 35 students came together at HP’s Customer Welcome Center in #London thanks to upReach, an award-winning social mobility charity that we’re thrilled to be working with as an expansion of our partnership with Mission 44 (Sir Lewis Hamilton's foundation.)   upReach knows that securing a job takes more than skills and study – it takes exposure, connection, and confidence. Fantastic to see this partnership get off the ground as HP welcomed students from upReach's Tech500 program to the HP Customer Welcome Centre in London as part of its expanded partnership with Mission 44, the charitable foundation founded by F1 World Champion Sir Lewis Hamilton. Working with award-winning social mobility charity upReach, HP is supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds with mentoring, professional networks, access to tech, and learning opportunities through HP LIFE, the HP Foundation's free business and digital skills training program. During the immersive event, students heard honest career stories from HP leaders and interns, took part in hands-on business challenges, and explored HP technology—experiencing first-hand how the right support can help unlock future careers.
