Two years, still Day 1. 🚀 The right people make all the difference. Watch this space for open roles.
🎉 Today I'm celebrating 2 years at AWS — two full years of living every day like it's the first one! This kind of culture never lets you settle, and a date like this one is my chance to decide what I want to bring into all the Day1s ahead. There's plenty I could focus on, but when I strip it down to what I want to carry into year three and beyond, what remains are the primitives — the foundations everything else gets built on. That's what I talk about in this video. Spoiler: none of it works without the right people around you. That's where most of my gratitude goes today. So, to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) LATAM team: thank you for raising the bar on me every single day, and for making the next chapter feel like the most interesting one. And one more thing for those who have been following this journey: we're looking for great people to join us building the AI future of Latin America with us. Over the next few weeks I'll share some open roles here. Still Day 1 ❤️ #AWS #AWSLATAM

We taught a robot how to feel (and it worked 93% of the time). 🤖 Applied scientist Mani Nambi and Amazon Scholar Nima Fazeli, in partnership with University of Michigan, built a solution that gives simulators the ability to accurately model tactile forces. Through HydroShear, complex tasks like bin packing, book shelving, or even drawer pulling can be learned through simulated touch alone, to then deploy on a real robot with no fine-tuning. This is the kind of problem Amazon’s Industrial Robotics Group works on every day. If teaching robots to feel sounds like your kind of challenge, let us know in the comments. Nobody will remember: -How many lines of code you shipped -The amount of coffee you drank ☕️☕️☕️ -A merge conflict you spent over an hour untangling People will remember: -Your architecture decision that scaled for years -The intern you mentored who got a return offer -A judgment call you made that no AI model could
