Update on Progress and Funding

We welcome October, a truly significant month for us at WasteVest. As we officially launch our first pre-seed funding round, we want to acknowledge your essential contribution to our mission. We now ask for your continued support to help us maximize our impact.

 Key Partnerships Secured

We are proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Ecobarter . This collaboration will enable us to efficiently collect and reuse evacuated PET bottles and aluminum cans from two reverse vending machines located near our University of Abuja operational site. These materials will be systematically delivered to our certified recycling partners.

 Major Regulatory Milestones

Our focused work over the past few months is leading to two critical regulatory achievements:

1. We are finalizing an important compliance discussion with the "Abuja Environment Protection Board (AEPB)", which we expect to conclude in a couple of weeks.

2. We are also close to securing our essential "Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) certification" from the "National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency NESREA

Expanding Our Collection Reach

To expand our community collection efforts, we are moving forward with plans alongside the Waste Pickers Association of Nigeria (WAPAN) . This initiative will allow us to install two dedicated "metal waste collection bins" at Efab City Estate Lifecamp and Salis Ventilated Homes . We will manage collection both through our "WasteVest WhatsApp bot" and a practical "on-site, door-to-door approach".

These achievements highlight why this is such an exciting month for us!

We are motivated by the strong dedication and energy of two of our current team members, Peter Akume and Maureen London . We are currently seeking to welcome an individual with professional "animation skills" to join our team. This role is key to helping us visually tell our story powerfully projecting the true "value of waste" and our mission to "Turning Waste to Wealth ".

We are actively working toward our initial pre-seed funding goal of N5,000,000.

We have been selected as a finalist for the prestigious "LaunchPadX by Growth Connect" program, which offers a potential grant award of up to N1,000,000. Even with this opportunity, your direct financial support remains vital as we move toward success.
