Air on achieved at the Space Institute! The team has successfully achieved air on at the Texas A&M University, Space Institute, establishing conditioned interior space and advancing the project into interior buildout and finishing activities. The Space Institute will serve as a hub for aerospace research, education, workforce development, and industry collaboration. The facility is designed to support innovation through advanced laboratories, flexible research environments, classrooms, collaboration areas, and specialized spaces that connect students, researchers, and industry partners. Reaching this milestone required careful coordination across mechanical systems, utilities, and trade partners to ensure building systems operated as intended and supported conditioned occupancy throughout the facility. Achieving air on represents an important step toward project completion and reflects the collaboration, expertise, and commitment of the entire project team. With the building now conditioned, work continues on interior scopes that will prepare the facility for future generations of researchers, students, and industry leaders. In a facility supporting life-support testing, robotics, materials research, and human performance, the building systems aren’t just supporting the space; they’re helping enable the science inside it.

This is an amazing project and all of us atTW Hicks are thankful to be part of the team.

GMi is proud to be part of this exciting project! Congratulations! 🚀
