NPL donates K9,000 to PNG schools

Before completing her Master's at NTU, Siti Saidah made a difficult call: give up her income to convert her degree to full-time study, uncertain how she'd manage the higher tuition that came with it. With the support of an LBKM bursary, funded by Mdm Bee Bee Noor Jahan — she found the space to focus fully on her studies. She went on to graduate as NTU Class Champion for her cohort, and now works as an educator at the Science Centre, designing hands-on learning experiences for young children. "Their support gave me more than money, it gave me hope I wasn't carrying the journey alone." In response to the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, the "FPT People for the Community" Fund collaborated with the Youth Union of the Ministry of Science and Technology to bring practical support to the teachers and students of Cam Muon Primary School (Muong Quang commune, Nghe An province). What can an Envision Equity Grant fund? The possibilities are wide-ranging. Educators have used these NEA Foundation grants to bring trainers to their schools to support culturally-sustaining teaching and learning, purchase and implement new social and emotional learning curriculum materials, fund project-based learning that addresses real-world challenges, develop stronger family, school, and community partnerships, and implement projects elevating student voice and supporting students' engagement in civic and community life.
