There isn't one right way to build a healthcare career. For some providers, locum tenens offers the opportunity to experience new practice settings. For others, it's about greater flexibility, exploring different communities, or choosing assignments that better align with their professional and personal goals. That's part of what makes locum tenens so valuable: it creates options. This National Locum Tenens Week, we celebrate the providers who have chosen to make locums part of their career journey—and we're proud to help them find opportunities that fit where they want to go next.

I work with primary care physicians who want more control over their careers — not less patient care, just less of everything else dictating their choices. Locum tenens lets you pick your settings, your locations, your pace. Some use it to explore new practice environments. Some just want out from under rigid employer terms. Either way, it's your call to make. Curious what that could look like for you? Send me a message.

Friday Recap – Back at It It's been a minute. A vacation, a few unexpected absences, and now it's time to get back into the Friday recap rhythm. This first week back has been a busy one. • Had a fantastic onboarding call with one of our newest hospital partners. We'll officially launch a Family Practice permanent placement campaign next week—a new specialty for me and one I'm excited to learn more about. • Business development continues to gain momentum. Four prospective clients are currently reviewing partnership agreements, including two with Emergency Medicine needs. Looking forward to seeing where those conversations lead. • Physicians moving through credentialing continue to make steady progress, which is always encouraging. • On the flip side, a few physicians who have been working assignments for the past nine months are beginning to encounter rate-related challenges. That's part of the locum tenens landscape. My role is to provide honest guidance, advocate where I can, and support physicians as they make the decisions that are right for them. • Rounded out the week with a great physician interview... and a no-show for another. Life happens. We'll reconnect next week and keep moving forward. One final reflection... This month marks one year since I started this journey in physician recruitment and business development Over the past year I've had the opportunity to build relationships with physicians across the country, partner with hospitals, learn new specialties, launch recruitment campaigns, and grow into responsibilities I couldn't have imagined on day one. I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished so far—and even more excited about what's ahead. Here's to Year Two. #HealthcareRecruitment #BusinessDevelopment #LocumTenens #PhysicianRecruitment #EmergencyMedicine #ProfessionalGrowth

One of the questions I get most often from residents, fellows, and early career physicians is, "What's it really like to work your first locum assignment?" For many clinicians, the idea is exciting, but there's also a lot of uncertainty. New facility, new team, new workflow. The good news is that your first assignment doesn't have to feel overwhelming. The physicians who have been there before all seem to share the same advice: prepare well, ask questions, and lean on your support team. This article pulls together practical tips from physicians and recruiters to help you walk into day one feeling confident and ready to go. If you're exploring different practice settings, looking for more flexibility, or simply keeping your options open as you think about your future career, it's worth a read. National Locum Tenens Week is about more than celebrating temporary assignments. It's about recognizing physicians who choose to bring their skills to communities that otherwise might go without care. Many locums physicians tell me their most rewarding assignments weren't the highest-paying ones. They were the opportunities where they truly felt needed. As a recruiter, I'm proud to connect physicians with facilities that depend on their expertise and compassion. Thank you to the doctors who make healthcare accessible, one patient and one community at a time. #NationalLocumTenensWeek #LocumLife #PrimaryCare #HealthcareLeadership #PhysicianJobs
