💰 $1 BILLION Deal Alert: Cyera Snaps Up Oasis Security to Lock Down the Wild West of AI Agents AI agents are multiplying inside your enterprise — and most companies have NO idea what they're doing. That's not a hypothetical. It's the exact problem a $12 billion cybersecurity company just spent $1 billion to solve. Cyera — fresh off a $600M raise — has signed a letter of intent to acquire Oasis Security for ~$1B, mostly in cash. Here's why this deal matters more than the price tag: 🤖 AI agents are the new attack surface. These aren't just chatbots. AI agents are accessing sensitive systems, executing tasks, and making decisions — often with little oversight. Every new agent is a potential vulnerability. 🔐 Non-human identities are the blind spot no one's talking about. Oasis Security specializes in securing exactly this: the identities of AI agents and automated systems. Who gave that agent access? What can it touch? Is it behaving normally? These are questions most security stacks can't answer yet. 🏗️ Cyera is building the unified platform for the AI era. This is Cyera's 3rd acquisition this year (following Ryft and Genie Security). The vision is clear: a single platform that covers both data security AND identity security — because in an AI-driven world, you can't have one without the other. The bottom line? The companies deploying AI agents the fastest are also creating the most risk. Security can't be an afterthought when your AI has the keys to the kingdom. The $1B question isn't whether AI agent security matters. It's whether your organization is taking it seriously before something goes wrong. 🔗 Read the full story on TechCrunch: https://lnkd.in/eAAdUwxb Is your company thinking about AI agent security? The AI agent security market is quietly becoming one of the most important spaces in tech right now, and most people are still sleeping on it. Cyera just dropped $1B to acquire Oasis Security. Their third acquisition this year. That pace alone should tell you something. Here's what I keep thinking about: we spent years debating AI safety in this abstract, philosophical sense. Alignment, existential risk, all of that. Meanwhile the actual immediate threat is just... badly secured AI agents running loose inside enterprise infrastructure, touching sensitive data, taking actions nobody fully sanctioned. That's not a thought experiment. That's happening right now at companies deploying agents without any real governance layer underneath them. The identity security problem was already hard when it was just humans and service accounts. Now you have agents spawning other agents, acting autonomously, needing access to everything. The attack surface is genuinely terrifying if you think about it for more than five minutes. What kills me is that organizations are racing to deploy agents to stay competitive, which I get, but the security infrastructure is lagging badly. Cyera clearly sees where this is heading. The question is whether enterprises will invest in protection before something ugly forces their hand. Usually it's the second option. #AIAgents #CyberSecurity #EnterpriseAI

Securonix Addresses AI Agent Risk at Black Hat USA 2026 Why this matters: AI agents can access data, execute actions, and interact with enterprise systems autonomously, creating new attack surfaces that traditional security controls were not designed to manage. The discussion highlights a growing industry focus on agent identity, authorization, monitoring, behavioral analytics, and governance as organizations move toward agentic AI deployments. Our take: AI security is rapidly evolving from protecting models to governing autonomous behavior. Enterprises that establish visibility, policy enforcement, and continuous monitoring for AI agents early will be better prepared for the next generation of cyber and operational risks. What do you think? Should enterprises treat AI agents as privileged digital identities subject to the same security and compliance controls as human employees? Hush Security Raises $30M to Close AI Agent Governance Gap Why this matters: As organizations deploy AI agents that can access data, make decisions, and perform actions autonomously, governance, identity, and security controls become critical to preventing misuse, data leakage, and unauthorized activity. The funding highlights rising enterprise concern that existing cybersecurity and compliance frameworks are not fully equipped to manage the risks introduced by agentic AI systems. Our take: AI governance is rapidly expanding from model oversight to operational control of autonomous agents. Companies that can provide visibility, policy enforcement, and accountability for AI agents may become essential infrastructure providers in the next phase of enterprise AI adoption. What do you think? Should AI agents be subject to governance standards similar to those applied to human employees with privileged system access? Ramanath Iyer Adeel S. Cyera reportedly agreed to acquire Oasis Security for $1 billion, highlighting growing demand around nonhuman identity management. The Wall Street Journal reports that the deal centers on securing identities for AI agents, service accounts, machine credentials, and other nonhuman actors inside enterprise systems. The broader signal is that as agents gain access to tools and data, identity becomes a core security category. The next enterprise security gap may be knowing which nonhuman actors exist, what they can access, and whether their permissions still make sense. https://lnkd.in/gYjr9C4N #AI #Cybersecurity #IdentitySecurity #NonhumanIdentity #AIAgents #EnterpriseSecurity
