We're proud to have partnered with The Winston-Salem Foundation, Education Foundation, and community partners throughout the All In For Our Schools WSFCS campaign, providing strategic communications, social media support, and impact storytelling. We're grateful to have played a role in helping share the story of a campaign that united the community around public education and created lasting impact for students, educators, and schools across the district.

I have been in the children’s book industry for two months, and I am in awe of what I have experienced so far. While attending webinars and conference calls, I’ve had the opportunity to hear from nonprofits and organizations that are working tirelessly to provide free books to children. It’s truly inspiring to hear about the work people are doing across the country to ensure that every child has books of their own at home. I strongly encourage you to Google “children’s literacy charity near me.” See what you discover. My guess is you’ll find an organization that’s doing everything it can to help children in your community. If you can help, please do. I’m only two months in and have a lot to learn, but it’s incredibly motivating to play a part in promoting literacy across the U.S. 📘💛

When people see a new school, they often see a building. I see generations of impact. Here are three long term ways this school will shape the future. 💚 It will educate hundreds of children for years to come, giving them access to opportunities that begin with education. 💚 It will keep the community together. Instead of children traveling to different schools in different villages, they'll be able to learn, grow, and build lifelong friendships right in their own community. 💚 It will become a place of hope. A school is more than classrooms. It's where future teachers, nurses, entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers begin their journey. This isn't just about building a school. It's about investing in a community and creating opportunities that will continue to impact future generations long after the construction is complete. That's the kind of legacy we're working to build. 💚 #FreedomTree #SierraLeone #EducationChangesLives #CommunityFirst #BuildingHope #FutureGenerations #NonProfit #GlobalImpact #SustainableChange #EducationForAll

Every year, thousands of school uniforms, books, bags, and shoes sit unused on shelves while countless parents struggle to afford the basics for their children's education. In today's inflation, what no longer fits your child could be the reason another child gets to attend school with dignity. Before throwing away or storing old uniforms and course books, ask yourself: Could this help someone continue their education? Let's normalize passing on: 📚 Textbooks 👔 School uniforms 🎒 School bags 👞 Shoes ✏️ Stationery Education should never become a privilege because of rising prices. If every family donated just one set of uniforms or one stack of books, we could help thousands of students start the new academic year with confidence instead of worry. Kindness costs nothing, but it can change someone's future. Share this post to encourage schools, parents, and communities to start uniform and book donation drives. #DonateToEducate #SchoolUniformDrive #BookDonation #SupportEducation #Inflation #EducationForAll #CommunitySupport #Pakistan #BackToSchool #BeTheDifference

A teacher qualifies once. Children benefit for decades. In South Africa, 52% of Early Childhood Development practitioners have no formal qualification. We are changing that because the years before five require skilled, purposeful teaching. This is when children develop the language, concentration, confidence and problem solving skills that lay the foundations for success at school. In 2025, Santa Shoebox Legacy invested R280,000 from private donations, including surplus funds generated by Virtual Santa Shoeboxes, to train another 15 women through ORT SA CAPE. They now all hold nationally recognised NQF Level 4 qualifications in Early Childhood Development. 🎓 That is compound impact. Each teacher will carry her knowledge into many classrooms throughout her career, improving the start received by hundreds of children. Her qualification also opens greater professional opportunity, while our partnership with ORT SA strengthens another nonprofit committed to training teachers and expanding access to quality education. One qualification. Decades of return. That is what your donation buys. Great news to share from the fantastic work being delivered by Your School Lottery! 🎉🏫 One of the things I genuinely love about my job is helping schools find simple, sustainable ways to raise money. I'll be working throughout the summer helping schools get fundraising-ready for the new school year, supporting PTAs and school leaders to launch their Your School Lottery before September or giving them everything they need to take back to school when everyone returns. As a former PTA member myself, I know just how much time and energy goes into cake sales, quiz nights, sponsored events and school fairs (and they'll always have their place!). That's why I love being part of Your School Lottery. It's such a friendly, community-focused fundraiser that quietly raises unrestricted income week after week, with very little ongoing effort from busy school staff and volunteers. The impact this year has been incredible: 🎉 2,700 schools taking part 💷 £1.7 million raised for schools during 2025–26 🏆 £15 million raised for schools since 2014 ❤️ Nearly 1 in 4 prize winners donated their winnings straight back to their school. That's what community is all about. If you're a Headteacher, Business Manager, PTA volunteer or Governor and would like your school to start the new academic year with an easy, fully managed fundraiser, I'd love to help you get set up over the summer. Want to get your school involved for the upcoming term? It’s completely free and easy to set up! https://lnkd.in/e9zckB-v Here's to another fantastic year of supporting our amazing school communities! 💙 #YourSchoolLottery #SchoolFundraising #PTA #Education #Schools #Fundraising #Community #SchoolCommunity
Wow! Look at what our incredible school communities achieved this year! 🎉 From new playground gear to vital classroom technology, your support makes a massive difference every single week. We're absolutely thrilled to look back at the incredible impact of 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗟𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 in the 2025-26! Together, across 𝟮,𝟳𝟬𝟬 schools, we hit an amazing milestone: £𝟭𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 raised for schools since Gatherwell launched Your School Lottery in 2014! Here’s how you made a difference this year: 💷 £1.7 million raised to empower local schools across the UK. 💷 £1.1 Million taken home by parents in weekly cash prizes (including 8 massive jackpots!). The best part? Nearly 1 in 4 winners (24%) generously donated their cash prizes straight back to their school! This is what true community spirit looks like. Thank you to every parent, teacher, and supporter who bought a ticket, shared a link, or cheered on their school. Want to get your school involved for the upcoming term? Last week, I shared The Foundation for Folsom Cordova Schools’ 2026–27 funding priorities: literacy support and scholarships for graduating Career Technical Education students. Establishing priorities is an important first step. The next step is building the community support needed to make those investments possible. Donations will help the Foundation expand access to books and literacy opportunities while also funding three $1,000 scholarships for graduating CTE students—one from each of FCUSD’s comprehensive high schools. These priorities support students across their educational journeys, from developing strong reading skills to preparing for college, career training and the workforce. From first books to first careers, community support can help turn these priorities into opportunities for FCUSD students. The initial phase of our work focused on creating existence proofs—convincing ourselves and others that effective interventions were possible. Through partnerships, we identified several impactful programs. Our first collaboration was with Youth Guidance's 'Becoming a Man' program. With crucial funding and data sharing, we scaled it to 20 high schools. A rigorous evaluation confirmed its significant positive impact not only on public safety but also on high school graduation rates. This success validated the potential for impactful, light-touch interventions. Our early efforts, Crime Lab 1.0, were about discovering and validating these models. Version 2.0 is now focused on identifying common denominators across effective interventions to enable broader scale impact, even within shrinking city budgets. #SocialImpact #EvidenceBased #ProgramEvaluation #CommunityDevelopment #Nonprofit
