Caravel Minerals, has announced the completion of the Mining component of the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for its 100% owned Caravel Copper Project, located in Western Australia. The mining study supports an updated Ore Reserve of 597Mt at 0.24% Cu for 1.42Mt of contained copper, reported on 19 June 2026. The Project is planned as a conventional open pit, truck and shovel operation, developing the Bindi and Dasher deposits in stages. An ultra-class load and haul fleet has been selected, with the mine plan designed to support a transition to autonomous haulage. The mining parameters include a 12.5m bench height, 4% mining dilution, 3% ore loss, and a minimum mining width of 100m. Inferred Mineral Resources are excluded from the Ore Reserve and pit designs. The DFS mining report contains a life-of-mine production and material movement schedule that draws on Inferred Mineral Resources in the later years. The Company intends to de-risk pre-strip and early mining by engaging a tier one mining contractor, transitioning to owner mining thereafter. Investair - Know the market before you raise. Flynn Gold Limited, (ASX: FG1) has announced that it has registered Mining Lease Application 6M/2026 over part of its 100%-owned Golden Ridge Project in northeast Tasmania. The mining lease covers Brilliant and Trafalgar gold deposits, which were included in a November 2024 Exploration Target of 3.5 to 5.4 million tonnes grading 3.0g/t to 4.0g/t Au for 449,000oz to 520,000oz of contained gold. Importantly, the mining lease also includes a proposed 70-hectare processing site with nearby grid power and all-weather roads, planned to develop as a regional gold processing hub. Managing Director and CEO Neil Marston commented that the registration of the mining lease represents an important milestone in the pathway towards establishing gold mining in northeast Tasmania. Environmental baseline studies within the mining lease area have commenced as part of the mine permitting process, while plans to accelerate resource drilling, metallurgical studies, and stakeholder engagement activities are underway. The exploration portfolio in northeast Tasmania is considered prospective for gold, tin, and tungsten, with similarities to the geology of the Victorian Goldfields. Saturn Metals Limited (ASX: STN) secured a key mining lease covering its 2.83 million ounce Apollo Hill gold project. 📄 Key Apollo Hill mining lease granted 🕐 Released 9:25am AEST What it says: Western Australia's mining department granted Saturn a mining lease covering 11,700 hectares around its Apollo Hill gold project, following a native title agreement signed with traditional owners in June. The lease surrounds Saturn's existing ground and covers the area holding its 1.59 million ounce ore reserve. What it means: A mining lease is one of the legal building blocks a company needs before it can actually build and operate a mine, this doesn't mean construction is starting, but it removes a real regulatory hurdle. Managing Director Ian Bamborough said the lease provides the land tenure needed to keep advancing the project, plus room for the resource to keep growing. Saturn's full feasibility study, which will spell out the economics of actually building the mine, is still due later this year. What's next: Saturn's Definitive Feasibility Study for Apollo Hill is expected later in 2026, that will be the next major milestone showing whether the project stacks up economically. Olympio Metals Ltd, has announced the acquisition of an 80% interest in the Jacknife Silver Project located in Idaho, USA. The project is situated in the renowned Silver Valley mining district and includes the historic Conjecture Mine, which produced over 2 million ounces of silver at exceptional grades up to 22 ounces per tonne. The Jacknife Project covers a district-scale 7km trend of mineralised shear zones, with six historical high-grade silver mines that have collectively produced over 3.2 million ounces at an average grade of 12.7 ounces per tonne. The project also includes 335 acres of patented mining claims, which provide immediate access and limited permitting requirements for exploration and underground mining. 's Managing Director, Sean Delaney, commented that the Jacknife Project is an "excellent acquisition" that complements the recently acquired Raven high-grade silver project. He noted the project's significant historical production, the large-scale mineralised structures, and the advantages of the patented mining claims as key factors that make Jacknife an "exciting opportunity" to advance rapidly. The company plans to commence a maiden drill program at the Conjecture Mine to validate the continuity of high-grade mineralisation, as well as undertake surface mapping and sampling across the broader project area to generate and prioritise additional exploration targets. views the Jacknife Project as a significant step in building its portfolio of advanced silver assets in the United States.
