How can we turn sustainability ambitions into real progress?  This was one of the key questions at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference 2026, bringing together leaders from business, politics, academia and civil society.  For HELM AG, the answer starts with collaboration. It is a core element of our HELM 2030 ambition: creating value for both profit and planet. Representing HELM, CEO Stephan Schnabel and CDO Daniel Tepe contributed to the dialogue on how businesses can drive sustainable transformation in a complex and resource-constrained world.  In the panel discussion “Re-Doing Growth,” Stephan Schnabel highlighted a critical point: Economic development within planetary boundaries requires more than innovation. It depends on strong international cooperation and enabling frameworks that translate ambition into action.  Beyond the conference stage, HELM also engaged with the public at Hamburg’s “Future Garden“ together with our long-standing partners Plan International Deutschland e.V. and HSV. This included a workshop, a football training session for girls and a joint panel discussion on the future of sustainable development beyond 2030.  In this dialogue, Daniel Tepe challenged a common pattern in sustainability debates: progress does not come from neutrality. He emphasized that real impact requires companies to take a clear stance, and to move beyond “helping” towards building true business partnerships that create value locally and globally.  Progress doesn’t come from ambition alone. It comes from working together. Thank you to the Hamburg Sustainability Week and all partners involved.    Photos: Hamburg Sustainability Conference / Plan International  #HELM #HELMAG #Togetherfortomorrowtoday #HamburgSustainabilityConference #HSC2026 #HELM2030
