39 years ago, Jeff Clarke walked into PC's Limited - now Dell Technologies - as a quality engineer. He had no idea what was ahead, and that turned out to be the best part. 💙 Now our Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, Jeff's journey is proof that curiosity, resilience and embracing change can take you places you never imagined. His advice to his Day 1 self? "Stay curious and get comfortable with change." Start your Journey at Dell: https://del.ly/6048B1wf9k
A career that grows in one company for nearly four decades says as much about the environment as the person. The right place keeps giving you reasons to grow.
A remarkable journey — and a powerful reminder that enduring leadership is rarely built on a perfectly mapped career path. It is built on agility, commitment, curiosity and the ability to see change as opportunity rather than disruption. In a world where technology, markets and customer expectations constantly evolve, experience matters — but the willingness to keep learning, adapting and challenging your own perspective matters even more. 39 years is an extraordinary tenure. Remaining relevant, influential and forward-looking throughout those 39 years is the real achievement. “Stay curious and get comfortable with change” may sound simple. In leadership, it is a competitive advantage.
2/3 of my feed every day looks exactly like this post except it isn't a congratulations on a long dedicated career. It is countless employees who dedicated decades and planned to retire at the company being let go. I thought this was another one of these at first. Good to see they are at least keeping a couple of people at the top. Not to take away from Jeff though because he is great.
Congratulations Jeff!
Jeff has been inspiration to many of us who got fortunate to observe and learn. His ability to distill clarity and making things unambiguous is legendary. Congratulations sir!
Metric and the lava lamps!
39 years is an incredible journey. Love the reminder that staying curious and embracing change can make all the difference. Congrats to Jeff and the entire Dell Technologies team on the journey so far!
In 1987 looks older than today 😁
Long careers in technology are increasingly defined by adaptability rather than mastery of a single domain. As AI accelerates the pace of change, the most durable career advantage may be exactly that: becoming exceptionally good at learning what comes next.
