The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games just wrapped — congratulations to every athlete, coach, volunteer, and organizer who made it happen. 🏅 Anyone who's watched or participated in the games knows they're about more than the incredible athletic achievements of the participants; they're about community, empowerment, inclusion, and the transformative power of sport. In 2022, we had the privilege of partnering with Special Olympics USA Games to design a mobile app built around what athletes actually needed: easy scheduling across a complex multi-day event, simple ways to cheer each other on, and personalized mementos so the good feelings extended beyond the Games. Lonnie Snyder and the team at World Wide Technology kept building on that foundation — expanding from athletes and fans to a variety of other users, deepening the Healthy Athletes programming, and leveling up the app to create auto-generated personalized videos.
