An intriguing evening spent with colleagues, clients and those with vested interest in the development of Cardiff over the next few decades. The design charette looked at potential opportunities and risks for a new mixed use innovation district integrated as part of the newly planned tram routes. Often when spatial planners design urban environments we allow the pragmatic top down city planning approach to be definitive, however many local attendee's brought to light the prominent existing sense of community that cannot be compromised in any future planning, this reminds me despite the scale of any redevelopment never forget about the worms eye view !

Marion has been appointed Co-Chair of the ULI Europe Sustainability Product Council, which brings together investors, occupiers, developers, public officials and academics from across Europe to debate and explore best practices in sustainable development. A special thank you to Daniel Chang, Managing Director and European Head of ESG at Hines, for passing the baton. Daniel has been a strong voice for embedding sustainability into European real estate investment without compromising on ambition or quality.  It follows a busy few months working alongside Marvie Haas, Head of Impact Investing at Catella, on the June event in Berlin, a conference of real calibre that brought together some of the best expertise in sustainable development from across Europe.
