$10 million to help USC engineers become founders 👏 That's the gift VIZIO founder William Wang (B.S. EE '86) and his wife, Sakura, just made to TIE Hub - USC Viterbi — one of the largest gifts ever made to an engineering school's entrepreneurship program in the U.S. The gift launches the William W. Wang Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub, building on a program that already supports 70+ student ventures a year, with just two full-time staff. The next five years' ambition: ✌ Train 2,000+ aspiring founders ✌ Help launch 100 startups "I want the kids to be proud to be an engineer," Wang said, "and be comfortable that they can take some chances and be more daring." 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gJAu7hmk Congrats to the team building this work every day: Ellis Meng, Ralph Lin, Tatum Verona, Oscar Neyra-Nazarrett, Dr. David Gerber, Trina Gregory, Denise McKenzie

THANK YOU, a stellar #USCTrojan come up story of an executive in the making, survivor of a life altering crash, and some riveting and rewarding business case stories. Such a pleasure learning about big dollars and cents and partnerships that won and failed, giving William the bandwidth to make realtime decisions to run his global company, his real #bschool outcome.
