Mara Downing’s Post

Yesterday John Deere announced that it has been named the presenting sponsor of the 2026 MLB at Field of Dreams game on August 13 in Dyersville, Iowa. Field of Dreams is a celebration that brings together baseball, agriculture, and the communities that help feed the world.   This event is about more than baseball. It honors the hard work, resilience and deep connection to the land that defines rural America, values that have shaped generations of farmers and continue to inspire the work we do at John Deere.   What makes this sponsorship especially meaningful is the impact beyond the game. Through our collaboration with Major League Baseball (MLB), MLB Together, River Bend Food Bank, and Feeding America, John Deere employees, dealers and customers will help pack approximately 12,000 meals for families across Iowa. The John Deere Foundation will also donate one million meals to communities nationwide through Big Hits. Bigger Impact.   This is what community looks like in action: honoring the people who work the land, celebrate America’s pastime, and make a meaningful difference for families.   https://lnkd.in/grAiEQdn

The most meaningful aspect of initiatives like this is that they expand the role of the company beyond its products. Organizations create lasting impact when they strengthen the ecosystems where customers, employees and communities grow together. That reinforces trust, purpose and long-term value in ways that extend well beyond business results. Perhaps that's the highest level of value creation: when a company is recognized not only for the products it builds, but also for the ecosystems it helps strengthen.

A strong example of brand purpose becoming tangible, when heritage, community impact, and partnership come together, sponsorship creates value far beyond visibility.

Deere 🤝 Field of Dreams. Let's play ball!

In Oct 2024 we were at Field of Dreams with a group of John Deere Italy cutomers. I watched the movie more times, very emotional place for me, aboveall after that great actor James Earl Jones passed away few weeks earlier. 🌽⚾️🧢🇺🇸

This is great. Went to MLB game a few years back. It is so cool to disappear in cornfield like the Movie on the way to the big ball park. Love how home runs disappear into the corn. RAGBRAI stops by Friday am

When I see this green field, I feel what John Deere is all about: connecting heart, hard work, and community to feed the world. Supporting families and honoring our agricultural roots shows true spirit! So proud to see this positive impact on display. Sending full positive energy from Bruchsal,🌍🇺🇲🚀🚜💚🌻🚀👍👋 Dogan Elmas,💚

That is such a thoughtful and meaningful way to give back where it matters most!
