IORA Hosts EPR Webinar on Setting Up Producer Responsibility Organisations

On 29 April 2026, IORA, in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ), will host the second webinar in its online workshop series on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for IORA Member States. This session focuses on “Setting up Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs)” and builds on the success of the inaugural webinar. This session will take participants through the practical steps of establishing and operating a PRO, moving from policy considerations to real-world implementation. The webinar will explore key aspects of PRO development, including governance, legal frameworks, data and financial systems, stakeholder engagement, and partnerships with municipalities, collectors, and recyclers. It will also highlight approaches to integrating the informal sector and share practical experiences from IORA Member States.
