Most people treat MQTT like magic. But if you’re building anything in IoT, sensors, monitoring, or industrial networks; you need to understand what’s happening under the hood. In this video explains MQTT in a super practical way: ✅ What MQTT actually is (and why it’s “lightweight”) ✅ How the publish–subscribe model works ✅ What a broker does ✅ How topics route messages ✅ Demo using Mosquitto (default port: 1883) ✅ Why MQTT is popular, and where it can go wrong if misused Know more: https://lnkd.in/dwGr4EZv #MQTT #IoT #Mosquitto #Networking #Embedded #IndustrialIoT #CyberSecurity #OT

I've been advocating for better IoT security since coming here to Forrester. Security issues within IoT devices, like the recently found DJI Roma flaw (Thanks to Jeff Pollard for showing me that one), can not just allow for compromise of that device, but can let attackers move laterally, like Akira did in 2025 with a web camera. Today we published "The State Of IoT Security, 2026" report which dives into some of the numbers around IoT device usage and the need to deploy security solutions for them. https://lnkd.in/erPBH45m

Part 10 of a 10 Part series on Strategic Vision & Cybersecurity Leadership in Manufacturing IoT & Connected Factory Risks Smart security is essential for smart factories. The integration of IoT and interconnected devices is revolutionizing the manufacturing industry, yet it also introduces fresh security risks. Prior to linking a new device, we need to evaluate the type of data it gathers, its security measures, and the monitoring protocols in place. While innovation is thrilling, it must be prioritized alongside safety. #ManufacturingCyber #Industry40 #IoTSecurity
