Base pay range
$230,000.00/yr - $280,000.00/yr
Hampton North is partnering with a publicly traded, multi-billion dollar industrial technology company to identify a Vice President of IT and Digital Transformation for their Aerospace & Defense division.
This is a newly elevated strategic leadership role. The successful candidate will define and execute the technology vision across the division, partnering with division and business unit leadership to enable growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovation through secure, scalable, and forward-looking technology solutions.
Scope of Responsibility
- Develop and execute an IT and digital roadmap aligned with the division's growth strategy and A&D market requirements
- Serve as a trusted technology advisor to division and business unit leadership
- Drive scalability and best-practice sharing across operating businesses while respecting operational autonomy
- Lead ERP standardization, upgrades, and transformation initiatives
- Lead IT due diligence and integration for acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives
- Partner with business leaders to develop and execute an AI strategy across the division
- Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases including predictive analytics, proposal automation, demand forecasting, and knowledge management
- Evangelize AI capabilities and educate leadership on practical applications and ROI
- Establish governance frameworks for responsible, secure, and compliant AI deployment within regulated A&D environments
- Drive measurable business outcomes from AI investments
- Own the strategy, optimization, migration, and lifecycle management of ERP platforms across the division
- Drive data integrity, reporting consistency, and cross-business visibility
- Establish and maintain a robust cybersecurity posture aligned with CMMC, NIST 800-171, DFARS, and ITAR/EAR requirements
- Lead proactive threat monitoring, incident response planning, and vulnerability management
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Develop a division-wide data strategy to enable analytics, business intelligence, and AI initiatives
- Champion automation, digital workflows, and standardized reporting across operations, supply chain, finance, and engineering
- Lead IT due diligence for acquisitions, assessing enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital maturity
- Define and execute IT integration strategies that balance speed, risk mitigation, cost, and business continuity
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership in engineering-centric, product development, or manufacturing environments, ideally across multi-site or multi-business operations
- Aerospace & Defense or regulated manufacturing industry experience
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements in government contracting environments (CMMC, NIST 800-171, DFARS, ITAR/EAR)
- Full lifecycle ERP, CRM, and/or PLM implementation experience
- M&A integration experience
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, or related field
- Ability to travel approximately 50% domestically and internationally
Preferred:
- Experience building and deploying AI or advanced analytics solutions in an industrial setting
- Oracle ERP proficiency
- MBA or relevant advanced degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- Experience in a publicly traded company environment
