Sr. Buyer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Buyer to lead strategic procurement initiatives across domestic and international suppliers. This individual will be responsible for sourcing technology-related products and services, managing supplier relationships, supporting demand planning activities, and ensuring continuity of supply in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with global sourcing strategies, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to optimize inventory, cost, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of technology-related products, components, and services from domestic and international suppliers.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, quality requirements, and cost targets.
• Lead supplier negotiations regarding pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and service-level agreements.
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to support demand planning and inventory management initiatives.
• Analyze sales forecasts, inventory levels, and purchasing trends to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize shortages.
• Monitor supplier performance, identifying opportunities to improve quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
• Maintain strong relationships with key global and domestic suppliers and serve as the primary point of contact for procurement-related matters.
• Partner with logistics teams to coordinate international shipments, customs requirements, and import/export activities.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers to support business growth and mitigate supply chain risk.
• Prepare and analyze purchasing reports, supplier scorecards, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Support new product launches through supplier selection, procurement planning, and material availability.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of purchasing, procurement, or sourcing experience.
• Technology industry experience required, including procurement of technology products, components, electronics, software, hardware, or related services.
• Experience with demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
• Experience sourcing from both international and domestic suppliers.
• Proven ability to negotiate supplier contracts and pricing agreements.
• Experience working within ERP or MRP systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
