Sr. Buyer

About the job

We are seeking a Buyer to manage assortments across multiple product categories, analyze business performance, and identify opportunities for growth. This person will help shape assortment strategy, build trend-right product mixes, and deliver strong value across assigned classes. The role also partners closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to drive revenue, profitability, and market share.

This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, with in-office collaboration three days per week.

What You’ll Do

• Develop category strategies and identify assortment opportunities across multiple product classes
• Create assortment architecture and product roadmaps for owned and third-party offerings
• Curate assortments that align with customer demand, market trends, and business goals
• Partner with cross-functional teams including planning, merchandising, production, development, and marketing
• Manage open-to-buy plans and help drive KPI performance
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and source new product opportunities
• Negotiate cost, quality, and delivery with vendor partners
• Track product performance, including best sellers, underperformers, and markdown opportunities
• Support leadership reviews, presentations, and ad hoc business initiatives
• Mentor junior team members when applicable and travel as needed

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 4–6 years of retail buying experienc
• Experience in women’s apparel and/or accessories preferred
• Strong analytical skills, retail math knowledge, and business judgment
• Proven ability to drive KPI performance and support business growth
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge of trends, the competitive landscape, and customer preferences
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability to meet deadlines
