Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Solution Architect to fill an open position with one of our utility industry clients. This individual will provide enterprise-wide architectural leadership for cybersecurity, developing the future-state vision, strategy, standards, and capability roadmap needed to protect a complex IT and operational technology environment.


Responsibilities

Define and execute the cybersecurity architecture vision, strategy, standards, and capability roadmaps across identity and access management, threat and vulnerability management, information protection, audit, availability, fraud prevention, and governance, risk, and compliance.

Develop future-state security architectures and practical, multi-year roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture standards, business priorities, regulatory requirements, and emerging technology trends.

Partner with application development, infrastructure, IT operations, physical security, and operational technology teams to incorporate cybersecurity best practices into enterprise solutions, the software development lifecycle, and SCADA and control network environments.

Establish security architecture governance, frameworks, patterns, and communication programs while advising senior business and IT leaders on security strategy, incident response, risk management, and long-term technology decisions.


The Ideal Candidate

Brings at least eight years of experience in information technology, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity architecture, or related security capabilities.

Demonstrates strong knowledge of security practices across business, application, information, data, and technical architecture domains.

Has experience developing future-state architectures, capability roadmaps, security standards, architectural patterns, and multi-year strategic IT plans.

Possesses working knowledge of NIST, NERC CIP, FERC, and other cybersecurity standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to the energy or utilities industry.

Has experience with identity and access management, authentication and authorization, directory services, single sign-on, threat and vulnerability management, information protection, and governance, risk, and compliance technologies.

Communicates effectively with technical and business stakeholders and demonstrates strong leadership, influence, negotiation, relationship-management, and self-prioritization skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Relevant cybersecurity or architecture certifications.

Experience securing operational technology, control systems, or SCADA networks.

Experience with business process re-engineering, legacy and modern computing architectures, ITIL, enterprise reuse programs, and third-party service provider management.

Background in information management, master data management, data warehousing, or business intelligence.

Previous experience leading enterprise-wide technology or cybersecurity initiatives.
