Quality Engineer
Location: Onsite

Responsibilities
Support and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS), including document control, change management, and quality record compliance.
Ensure quality procedures, work instructions, and standards are effectively implemented and followed throughout manufacturing operations.
Provide daily quality oversight across production, packaging, and sanitation activities to ensure adherence to GMP, and hygiene requirements.
Monitor process controls and quality checkpoints, identify deviations, and support timely corrective actions.
Deliver GMP, safety, hygiene, and quality training to production personnel and new employees.
Conduct routine GMP, sanitation, and process audits while maintaining audit-ready documentation.
Lead investigations related to nonconformances, quality concerns, and process deviations, utilizing root cause analysis and supporting CAPA implementation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Sanitation, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a key quality resource for operational decision-making and troubleshooting on the plant floor.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
3-5 years of quality experience within food manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA/FDA regulations, and food safety management systems.
Experience with SQF, BRC, GFSI standards, and regulatory or third-party audits.
Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS), root cause analysis, CAPA programs, and quality metrics reporting.
Experience supporting sanitation programs, production processes, and packaging operations.
Experience with international quality or food safety standards is a plus.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
English proficiency required; conversational Spanish preferred.
