Working with a team of engineers that are responsible for deployment, implementation, and support of large enterprise communications environment with varied collaboration infrastructure. Responsibilities include the engineering design and support of both Voice and Video Audio Visual systems. Configuration, support and deployment of the Skype, Teams, Poly hardware, and other Office 365 collaboration tools. Collaborate with multiple teams including partner networking and security teams. Heavy coordination with geographically dispersed field teams is required. Provide oversight of contracted resources that provide run and maintain support of AV systems. Focus on positive end user experience.
Key Accountabilities
This technologist is responsible for leading the enterprise roadmap, design, engineering, installation, commissioning, operation, support, and lifecycle management of Audio Video and video conferencing systems across the organization.
This includes ownership of current-state platforms and future-state technology strategy for Microsoft Teams Rooms, Office 365 collaboration tools, Crestron, Poly/HP Poly Lens, Pexip, Dante, Biamp, Shure, AV-over-IP, and related room-control, audio, video, and streaming technologies.
The role provides full lifecycle support for collaboration rooms, network streaming, AVLAN environments, and IP-based AV devices, including standards development, technical design review, testing, acceptance, documentation, preventive maintenance, incident escalation, root-cause analysis, and recurring issue remediation.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of AV networking, including VLANs, static IP addressing, managed PoE switching, QoS, multicast concepts, network readiness validation, and troubleshooting of enterprise AV systems.
This role also ensures vendor designs, installations, closeout documentation, and support deliverables comply with enterprise AV standards, security requirements, operational support models, and long-term lifecycle plans.
The candidate should have a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service, improving the end-user collaboration experience, and partnering effectively with networking, security, field support, facilities, vendors, and business stakeholders.
They will play a critical role in the growth, governance, design, and execution of the enterprise Video Conference and Audio Video strategy, lead upgrades and installations across the enterprise, and create annual and multi-year refresh plans that align with capital planning, service reliability, and business priorities.
Knowledge/Skills

Ability to interpret, analyze, and apply pertinent service-level agreements, policies, procedures, regulations, and other requirements.
Experience with contractual agreements and vendor management
Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, commissioning, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise Audio Video and collaboration room technologies, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Office 365 collaboration tools, Poly/HP Poly Lens, Crestron XiO Cloud, Cisco video conferencing, Pexip Infinity, and related AV platforms.
Strong technical knowledge of AV networking and AVLAN environments, including VLANs, static IP addressing, managed PoE switches, QoS, multicast concepts, network readiness validation, and troubleshooting of IP-based AV devices.
Hands-on experience with networked audio and AV-over-IP technologies, including Dante, Dante Domain Manager, Biamp Tesira DSPs, Shure microphone systems, Crestron NVX, codecs, controllers, displays, amplifiers, and room-control systems.
Ability to read, interpret, and validate AV drawings, rack elevations, signal-flow diagrams, equipment sheets, cable schedules, room layouts, IP/MAC inventories, firmware baselines, and as-built documentation.
Experience performing functional testing, acceptance testing, root-cause analysis, firmware/configuration validation, incident escalation, preventive maintenance, and recurring issue remediation for enterprise AV environments.
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain technical documentation, support runbooks, operational procedures, standards, maintenance schedules, activity logs, and lifecycle records for enterprise Audio Video systems.
Ability to research, evaluate, and recommend new AV technologies while ensuring vendor designs, installations, and deliverables comply with enterprise standards, support requirements, and long-term lifecycle plans.
